Too good an offer that I have to submit this deal

Mad Max: Fury Road 3D Blu-Ray/ Blu-Ray/ Ultraviolet is currently part of JB Hifi's 2 for $30 promo.

Couple that with the 20% off Blu-ray offer brings the price down to $12. Awesomely cheap for a 3D Blu-Ray / Blu-Ray disc for an awesome movie.

Metacritic score of 89 = http://www.metacritic.com/movie/mad-max-fury-road

IMDB score of 8.2 = http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1392190/

  • At that price, definitely worth it even if it comes with Ultraviolet.

Why would it coming with Ultraviolet matter?
      It's a slip of paper.

        Much prefer iTunes for me.

          said no one ever

        • Is there another distribution platform that uses iTunes? I vaugeuly remember using iTunes to activate a movie ages ago.

        • @theguyrules:

You can still activate ultraviolet through iTunes.

        • @Yowiefied: no, you can't, ultraviolet is its own platform, the best you can do is run it on an iOS app on your iDevice using Flixster or JB Hi Fi Video Now
The only digital movie solution in Australia supporting iTunes is Disney

          You can redeem via iTunes.

        • @Yowiefied: You can redeem via iTunes.

I think Universal is being generous including iTunes as well. Alas, it's not "universal"!

        • @Yowiefied: That's for the US, not Australia

    • I know right, such a bad movie.

Sorry but it can't be bought by itself for $12. Title amended

Good movie. Is the 3D good or gimmick?

    • +1

3D is good in this one. One of the good 3D films. Not like the crap 3D in Marvel stuff.

    • +1

      Both.

      • Both is a good answer (credit to gilbarc).

It's a bit of a gimmick, especially at the end in one particular scene. But from memory it was shot natively in 3D, either way I saw it in 3D Imax and it looked quite awesome. 2D or 3D it works a treat.

Honestly, the highlight of this movie for me was seeing Quentin. This movie was madness though not really rushing to see it again.

Good price for 3D option, the Hobbit 3D being the other one, and the Rogue Edition of X-Men Days of Future Past maybe another pick for the bundle.

  • Or just rent it on xbox video for 10c USD

    • How's the quality compare to a bluray with HD audio?

  • Avengers not on the 2 for $30 :(

  • Bought this for $24 on it's own in the last 20% off sale! Damn OZB.

  • Thanks - good deal, and 1 or 2 of the other movies in the 2 for $30 category aren't utterly awful too.

  • got a copy along with hercules 3d (dwayne johnson). thanks for posting :)

  • Slow West is on there too, which is an awesome little western that nobody has ever seen.

  • Mad Max is a great movie. Will def grab

  • Bought Mad Max and Pacific Rim, total $22.80 with 20% off and newsletter 5% off. Thanks OP :)

  • Thanks OP, Wasn't sure about Pacific Rim 3D so went for MM and Tintin, there were some on 2 for 20 for eg Gravity. Will wait for the next one
