    Don't forget $20 off $50 from Amex

    • +2

Is it confirmed that Amex promotion will also work with the online sale?

Yes. Online and instore. However, + 7% cashrewards cash back if you buy online =)

        • But buying online incurs quite a hefty delivery fee, easily wipes out any cash back

        • @uggugg: The shoes I'm looking at say free shipping & returns.

        • @lostn:

Hmm okay. I put a pair of gloves in my cart this morning, wouldn't weigh more than shoes and it was charging me 9.99 for shipping

        • @uggugg: It might have something to do with price rather than weight. I don't know.

        • @uggugg: Seems free shipping only applies to shoes.

    • Amex only allowed 15,000 registrations. These have all been taken, so if you haven't yet applied, you are too late.

      • My wife and I both have individual Virgin platinum cards yet I never seem to receive notice of these AMEX deals. Am I missing something?

        • in my Amex account (amex issued cc) there's an actual "members offers" section which shows all the offers, which is awesome because it's right there to activate. For my NAB amex though, I don't get any online notification. The other day I received snail mail notification of the small business $10 cashback deals ..which was weeks/month late.

        • Cheers mate,

I had actually checked that section and for some reason both my wife and I have different offers available in each account. (None that havent been listed on OzB already).

  • Thanks

How about stating the day in the post?

5 Dec Tomorrow - Says it below the post next to the calender symbol.

will be good if this price carries through to tomorrow:
    http://www.rebelsport.com.au/Product/Garmin-vivoactive-GPS-S…
    garmin vivoactive $259
    less 20% and $20 amex credit = $187!!

    • Its usually full priced lines but hopefully not this time.

Offer available on 5/12/2015 only, unless sold out. Offer valid to rebel active members only. Sign up to rebel active in store and online. For more details visit rebelsport.com/rebelactive. Offer available in store and online. *Offer excludes current promotional products. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount cards or for the purchase of gift cards. No rainchecks.

    • I also had my eye on this exact thing ;)

    • +1

It's 20% off the listed retail price. If the current price is lower than 20% off already it is unlikely to decrease in price.

Some of the prices look like they're already updating online. Fangear may not require membership for the special since it looks like most of them are updating to 20% off for everyone.

    • +1

No additional 20% on the Vivoactive. Final price is $259.
      Checked at Chapel Street store

      • Yeah my dream deal was already brought down by the posters above last night :(

  • Saturday or Sunday?

    • The email states "Saturday, 5th December". Glad it's all stores and not Westfield-based stores only.

  • I'm getting a Garmin fr235 for Xmas and my wife called our local Amart sports who said they will match it.
Saves the 20 minute drive, just won't get the gift card hack on top.

  • How do I become a member?

    • Sign up either in store or via https://www.rebelsport.com.au/Member/Register

      • do u need the physical card? I've just registered online yesterday. Will they be able to look up my membership on their computers?

        • Thanks signed up. One other question do you think prices will be reflected automatically on the website or will there be a code? No mention of a code so far.

        • Should show on their computers, as I do not always have my card with me.

        • +1

@YellowKnight: I believe that when you're signed in, tomorrow, the prices should update.

  • +1

Fangear seems to be already 20% off online on alot of items

    • So it won't be another 20% off on top of?

      • I wouldn't have thought so, but you never know your luck

I signed up for membership in October and haven't received a card.

  • looking at basketballs and the prices for members are discounted already. Hopefully tomorrow is on top of the discounted prices

    • +1

I think you'll probably find these are the prices for tomorrow. Because it is Saturday already in some parts of the country. And probably some prices went up early to make sure they were up on time.

  • Item's that were previously on sale as of a few days ago are not any cheaper for me.
Seems ebay mostly has better deals.

  • League supporter gear still extremely overpriced…

  • Their website, Dick Smith and JBHIFI all look so similar. Now I wonder whether they were designed by the same crew.

    • +1

Their website is getting pumped. Bulk server errors

  • +2

The line for the cashiers at Castle Hill almost reaches the back of the store

    • Thanks, I might just order online

      • Moved pretty quickly even though some people had to sign up for new memberships. I probably waited 10-12 minutes

        • Waited 30 min just to pay for 2 soccer balls. A few people in the line are simply doing time-wasting. They should get straight red card and get kicked out of the queue.

  • +1

still expensive as (profanity) after discounted :(

    • True, prices aren't exactly amazing. Depending on what you're after, some times are still the cheapest here (just not by much).

I popped by the Highpoint, VIC store this morning around 10:30 am. It was just starting to fill up, people were filling up the stores, and registers were just starting to load up.

Site is slow, and cart/checkout excruciating. CC fails so use PP.

    • Seconded.

Really poor site performance for just 20% off.

      Thanks for the Paypal tip.

I'll also suggest that if you were like me and go stuck entering your address at checkout (time-out), to go to your account page, and add your address first. Then go to checkout.

    • Absolute crap website!!
Takes (profanity) forever to even add to cart!!
      About hulksmash my keyboard!!! uggh!!

  • Thanks I'M, picked up a Garmin swim for $150. Exactly what I've been chasing for a while!

  • Can't check stock availability. Useless AF

  • ANyone know how returns work with online shoe purchases if size is no good? swap in store, send back via post or neither? the website doesnt give much info!

    • I phoned earlier and based on my understanding you can swap in-store or request a refund if they don't have your size.

  • +1

Their site is so slow right now.

    • +2

I can't even add the item to the cart. Says please wait. Stops loading but nothing happens. What a joke.

    • +1

That was one of the worst online shopping experience. Got an error at the end after the paypal payment. But did get an email from Rebel. It better be in their system. Don't want to go through that again.

Didn't ask for membership number when purchasing online… guess you don't have to be a member to get the 20%.

      • I don't think I'll risk it then. The scariest part to get an error is after you've given them payment.

      • Same here: After paying with PayPal and being returned to the site I received an exception message which really should've been a friendly error message instead. Ouch. Definitely the worst online shopping outcome I've ever experienced.

Didn't get an order notification e-mail but can see that the order has been placed under My Orders. Hopefully they'll be able to sort it out and process orders which encountered an error during check-out.

  • +2

Truly pathetic website - would have cost them big $'s in lost business. Why bother having a on-line sale if your IT infrastructure can not handle it?

  • Ended up ordering online with cash rewards.
They turned off the membership requirement. You couldn't even sign in if you were a member. I had to check out as a guest.

  • Come on Rebel, a bit slow on the dispatch, days on and not even sent. I think most people expect their internet shopping to atleast be mailed within reasonable time.
