If its for Staff and their Families how it is useful to US and out of curiosity, how would one prove that they are family of staff, do you have to go with your related staff member ?

That Lindt family and friends sale actually got posted at OzBargain (twice) but I have to pull them off as someone form Lindt emailed me about their mistake.

So far I have not received any email from Kmart yet :)

I have used these coupons in the past and haven’t had any problems at the checkout. It’s like the recent Myer discounts that were available here….no one questions you.

I think Lindt story is definitely a mistake on their site, and Myer family and friends are definitely viral marketing (i.e. it meant to be available to everyone anyway), but I am not quite sure about this Kmart deal.

Someone posted on the blog saying the checkout counter at Kmart this year will be a bit more strict. We’ll see.

last year staff at the front of Kmart stores were handing out the 15% off coupons to customers to use so might be good to ask the person at the entrance if they have any to give.

You shouldn’t have a problem using them, I went in twice (forgot something!!!) and they accepted it without any questions. The discount is on top of anything that is already discounted as well…yeah!!!

what about mobile phone recharge cards?

I also printed off a photo copy version of the coupons from my fax machine and they accepted them without any problem…..besides, didn’t they say “staff and FAMILY”, which would suggest you don’t need staff ID or anything. They just need to scan the barcode.
Anyway I’m pretty happy I saved $10 off my shopping there.

Just came back from a church meeting and one girl who works in Coles basically has multiple sheets of coupons, and was handing out to everyone!

Just for Staff Family? Nah. Don’t think so. We also used the photo-copied one today and had no problem.

I was a little worried there that I posted a voucher that no one was able to use but like I said last year they gave out same voucher but it did howerever say ‘Family and FRIENDS’ so everyone could use, this year they dropped the friends….dont know why.

And yes this is an even sweeter deal seeing you can get use it on discount catalogue items cause there a swing set my mum was hinitng me to get for her for Xmas at $350 , this week only specail $199 and with the 15% off it comes down to $169!!

Worked for me - presented laser printed clipped coupon - laser scanned without question - discount applied to total

some good bargain can be had when combined with % off deals in store:

• 30% of all clothes and shoes = 45% off
• 20% of cordless phones and mobile phone accessories = 35% off
• 15% of batteries = 30% off
• 25% off Xmas lights = 40% off

Unfortuntely you have to brave the Christmas rush, there were hundreds of people at my local kmart. Imagine if they had a 15% off for all, it would be a bigger nightmare!!!

So you could get a $20 voucher and get $40 value and only pay $17 for it.

Last year (or the year before) I used a similar voucher in conjunction with an existing 15% off sale to put the first 8 seasons of Stargate DVD’s on lay-by - worked out I paid only $35/season :)

it worked for me too. however, does anyone knows what is meant by “family” with regards to the voucher? yesterday i bought a printer with the voucher and i want to redeem a photo frame from HP, but the promotion is not open for employees of the resellers and their immediate family. could anyone pls tell me what was on the back of the voucher? the 15% off was for staff and members of immediate family? thank you!
