Given my experience with Toshbiba TVs, you would be better off with the Samsung LA40B650 or the recent Sony 40" here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/24370.
The motion interpolation on these sets is typically much better than what Toshiba offer. They are within a comparable price range, however do have a shorter warranty (1 year) and are only 40" - not 42". Still, better off with either one of those quality sets.
That said, the price isn't bad.
Will be interesting to see if TVs get much lower in price, they've come down a lot (then again, our currency has gone up a lot too).
I guess thanks to 3D & OLED TV's the prices of LCD's should be coming down significantly
There's only so low they'll go even with new tech, they still need to profit off any products they make (when they stop making them it's different).
Just rang the Richmond store, it's a 42RV600A http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/tvs/toshiba/regza_42rv6…
not even the right size.. gotta love phone monkeys NFI
?? Don't understand what your saying beatlebob ??
Beatlebob, I went there after work and checked it out. Yes, it's a 42RV600A and yes, it's still 42 inches in real life, dunno WTF you're on about.
Beatlebob, I just checked out your other comments, everything from XBox to Maggi noodles. You're one funny cynical mofo man! Respect!
Just report and move on :)
Kind of depressing that I paid $1500 for mine about 7 months ago
yeah but you got 500 bux use out of it in the last 7 months :D
In another 7 months people who bought this one will be saying "Kind of depressing that I paid $1000 about 7 months ago" when the price is like $600.
Need the Model no. to judge the price
There are 4 models with similar specs on Toshiba's website
