Plus a potential further $25 with voucher

  • +3

    Only 65" and over.

    • +2

      rules me out then ..

    • i doubt be much better than the Soniq or other 65 inch cheap branded ones that around the $1000-1500 mark.

    • +1

TCL has a 3 year warranty which is unheard of from the lesser known brands. I've had their 32 inch tv for about a year now and it's great. However you do notice a picture quality difference when it's next to a known brand like LG or Samsung.

    • +1

TCL is actually pretty decent for a generic brand. It generally goes like this Name Brand > TCL > Hisense > Soniq + the rest.

  • +1

Very tempted to pull the trigger on the Sony KD65X9300D for $3596 after discount.

    Anyone have this TV?

    • Buy this instead…

      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-65-inches165cm-suhd-l…

Around the same price after discount, I can't recommend it enough, I bought one a few weeks ago and picture quality is just amazing, even Foxtel SD and FTA SD

      • sony 9300d is better that samsung series 9 that you have mentioned. Most of the websites will prefer sony among these two

      • Man you've made this decision even harder! Both look like great TVs. Did you consider the Sony when you were looking to purchase? What swayed you to the Samsung?

    • I've got one, great tv!
      Bought $4250 from Costco

      • Yeah was eyeing that price off too. Not sure if it's worth paying more at Costco to benefit from their generous returns policy.

        • +1

I think you need to continue being a Costco member to be eligible for the extended warranty…

          @hashtagbargain:

Yeah I've just put mine on automatic renewal.

I think I spoke too soon! My x93d started having horizontal lines across the screen tonight! Spewing!

        • @sirs2k: time to put that warranty to test!

  • One things to note is these LG's have dolby HDR as well as HDR 10. Gives much better HDR.

    • Is there much HDR content to watch ?

      • +1

There will be a lot coming out now the new xbox one s is making it far more accessible

        • Xbox only supports HDR10, netflix does Dolby though.

  • Can anyone recommend a 3D supported UHD TV? The Samsung ones don't do 3D anymore?

    • +1

Get the LG OLED E6, Sony 9300D or 2015 samsung.

      • is the LG E6 on their website?

        • Nope just the B6

        • C6 is on there too which has 3D and lower input lag than the B6 at the same price. Curved though.

      • +1

        no OLED's though?

    • +1

Be wary of the 65" 930d for 3D / lots of people and reviews indicate the that crosstalk on that specific tv make 3D unwatchable.

  • This offer is only available for 65" and above UHD TVs. Can we please update the title ?

  • +5

I don't think there is an apostrophe in TVs.

  • Great deal, I bought end of 2015 line 65JU7000 in May and these prices are less!! Usually see these prices mar/apr/may

  • -1

bugger 65 is too big. Wished there was something for 55 or 60

  • hmm tempting, what do people think of the Hisense 65"65M7000UWG?
I have been eyeing it out and heard some nice things about this.

$560 more than the TCL after discounts and very little info on the 65E5900US 400Hz 9.5ms refresh

I think it's a good buy .. just take the plunge.

Last week we bought the Hisense 65K3300UW for $1800 price matched at Bing Lee. If only we knew this sale would be on 1 week later i would have held off the purchase and bought it from this sale. It would have cost me $1600 + $50 delivery from The Good Guys sale so we would have saved $150. Or we could have bought the 65M7000UWG TV your looking at. In store the 65M7000UWG looked so much better. It has ULED, HDR, 4K (our TV has 4K as well). In addition both TVs have 3 year in home warranty. If we bought the 65M7000UWG it would have cost us $1966 with delivery and that was only $166 more than the $1800 we paid for the 65K3300UW.

I feel really bummed that we missed out on this sale but who was to know this sale would come on. We only change our TVs every 5 years or so .. so we just have to keep this. If we had our time over again then the 65M7000UWG would be my choice.

Now we are very happy with the 65K3300UW but you can really tell the picture difference with the ULED version and given with this sale it is only a few hundred extra it really is worth it. The sale price ends today so jump on it if you can. However sale price is only a discount of $100.

      • I realised I'm not moving till end of Nov recently so I will hold off and wait till I have a proper place to store this baby.
Current place has no storage for a TV.

I am confident this TV will fall to 1900 in a few months with extra sales but it is high (highest due to its value) on my list of TVs I want to buy.

I want to test it and bring in Fifa and play it there haha, if that has no lag then I am sold. Already seeing some awesome reviews on it so should be good.

        Thanks for the info mate!

  • the Sony is such a tease!!! should i get it or wait till boxing day sale.. hmmm..

  • +1

About 50% of these Tv's are already discounted so your best possible saving would be until the end of tomorrow the 31st when that discount finishes.

Very tempted to buy this. Any suggestion?

    • +1

Buy the 65", sit a bit closer and give me the $1.1k difference.

    • Is this good my old man wants to spend 5K on TV

  • +1

Aww man. Samsung KS9000 for $3600. Must resist.

    • Resistance is futile

    • If you buy one I will buy one too. Sitting on the fence right now

      • You already said on whirlpool that you're getting one ;p

I have a perfectly good Panny plasma. I think if I bought one, I might end up in a shallow grave.

        • I just gotta hit the buy button .. decisions

    • where does it show KS9000 for $3600?

      • Use the code bud …

  • Do JB price match on these specials ?
    (I have a gift certificate)
JB guy I spoke to last time resisted price match and was unclear on their policy…

    • I got a good guys gift card if you want to swap?

    • no luck for me at jb.
guy was a prick and insisted price was below cost and unable to match

      • Lucky jb didn't price match ytd ;)

        • Why's that?

        • @sian72:
          I was hoping to price match 4488 - 20% which is 3590.4

Price dropped today. Will go instore and buy from good guys. Works out to be 3202 delivered.

        • @chew_chew: fyi got the samsung 65 series 9 price matched at JB for $3650

  • My dad wants to spend 5 K whats good

look into OLEDs LG B6 or C6 (they are both around 6k after discount), B6 is flat but no 3D, C6 is curved with 3D. or look into any 75 inch.

  • what is the minimum distance required to watch these televisions (65" and above )?

  • Do you need the promotional email from the goodguys to be able to use this promotion?

    • No, just add the promo code at the checkout.

Just bought the Sony 9300D, saved me several hundred $'s on the JB Hifi price, thanks!

  • Bought LG 65UH950T, for $3615.40 delivered (20% off promotion plus $25 credit). I wanted a tv with passive 3D (I enjoy 3D movies). And 65 inch OLED is out of my budget (it's 6k after discount). Sony is another good choice, android OS opens the door to a whole new world for tv. It will be delivered this Saturday. I will report back on quality, etc.

    • good choice. thats what im planning to get.
except online site doesnt accept more than 2 gc per transaction.

need to go in store tomorrow. fingers crossed price remains the same.

      • Please note that currently it is advertised at $4488 down from $4695 (finish 31st August, which is tonight). So it comes down to $3590.40 after applying the 20% discount code. You could call them to apply the gift card on their online offer. I called Harvey Norman to ask if they will price match/beat this price. They gently denied.

        • Looks like the price has dropped :)

        • @chew_chew: Yeah, I saw, I cancelled my order, and currently is in the process of putting through a new one.

P.S: I can see you dancing there ^_^

        • @Rashed:
Have u reorder? Guess u might want to do it again!! ^^

        • @chew_chew: already spent my lunch time on it, at work now ;( did you buy? Or you are holding back?

        • @Rashed:
Local good guys store can't match it.

          Pulled the trigger online.

          3988*0.8 = 3190.4
          + 50 for delivery
          - 60 for using $1000 gc @6% saving

          Final paid Price 3180.4 delievered

        • @chew_chew: You should pick up or get it delivered from your local GGs. On the sidenote, thanks for making me feel worse mentioning your 6% off giftcard.. lol

        • @Rashed:
Pickup would be cheapest. Saves $50 delivery fee and get $50 store rcredit.

However, too much trouble for me to pick up.

The $60 saving from gc I view it as free delivery :)

        • @chew_chew: yeah, and next week their normal retail price would be $2,799.95, anyway congrats to both of us. Its a great tv nevertheless.

        • @Rashed:
          Excited!! ;)
