      • +1

Thanks! I bought one white model with AU plug as well :)

  • Great deal.
Can anyone clarify why this charger is said to be so intelligent or fast?
If it's not "quick charge", then wouldn't this be the same (in terms of speed) as a regular 2.4A charger which will supply devices with the full 2.4A where the device can take it, and less if required?

    • Its a "old" fast charger, fast as compared to 1A or 2.1A. The intelligent part is just you can use any port and it will allow the full 2.4A if the device asks for it. Older multi port chargers have different ports for different outputs.

      • Makes sense now, cheers!

    • +3

The intelligent part is just you can use any port and it will allow the full 2.4A if the device asks for it.

That is sort-of wrong and sort-of too simplistic.

The intelligent part is a small chip on each USB output that checks what is plugged in. Basically, the chip cycles through various options of voltages and short circuits on the data pins of the USB… Apple 500mA, 1.0A, 2.1A, 2.8A, Samsung, etc.

The chip monitors how much current the device draws in response to each of the choices. For example, both an Ipad and an iPhone would draw 1.0A when signalled with 2.0V + 2.8V, but only an iPad would draw 2.1A if it was signalled 2.8V + 2.0V. Yet Samsung would draw most when the data pins are short circuited, which Apple devices would consider only worthy of drawing 500mA.

However, Samsung and other Android phones do other stuff too - they see a short circuit on the data pins as a indication that there is more than 500mA, then slowly step up the current draw until the voltage starts to droop. This means that the cable plays a big part in success on Android fast charging, since the phone will only step up the current until voltage drops below (say) 4.8V.

So I think what actually happens is that the intelligent chip cycles through the Apple voltages and sees if anything happens, and if not then it just flips over the BC Spec 2.1 or a Samsung scheme. Anyway, once the chip works out the USB pin voltages will trigger the fastest charging from that port, it then switches those values in "permanently". Thus the port will provide the maximum that the connected device will respond to.

NOTE: This is general info, not particularly specific to the Blitzwolf.

      • so this one will charge at the same speed as the original samsung s6 wall charger? they are quick charger.

        • The term you are using "quick charger" has quite a few different meanings.

This product certainly charges things quicker than most chargers.

However the Samsung S6 supports Samsung’s Adaptive fast charging feature and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

This Blitzwolf charger DOES NOT SUPPORT EITHER of those particular protocols.

It's just what it is advertised as (a 40W USB charger), and it is not things that it's not advertised as.

        • @llama: ah crap so must be the same as my old tronsmart… i thought this will charge s6 faster. thanks

        • @eisniwre:

You need to seek out QC 2.0 or QC 3.0 chargers, which can output 9V that your phone can draw from (if negotiated with the charger).

QC 2.0 is older tech and cheaper. QC 3.0 is downward compatible with QC 2.0 but not needed for your S6 - however QC 3.0 is potentially more "future proof".

      • Interesting!

Honestly all this stuff is over my head, I bought this for the multiple ports, being able to sit it on my desk, and presumably similar or better quality compared to stock chargers.

      • Thanks for clearing that up - interesting.

  • +1

Just ordered the white version for the 40W 5-Port USB charger (comes with an option to select AU plug) which is a better colour choice for contrast over a bland black product. Cheers banggood, keep up with the good and quality deals.

    • -1

Same, has that apple feel to it.

  • Just ordered a white version; 7th Sept 8:40am.

Paid in US$ (US$8.93) to use up some of my PayPal US$ from TopCashBack.

Needed to wait till today for the block in my account on code BW5UC to clear. Yesterday use of BW5UC was saying "Code already used" because I fouled up payment with a credit card in Australian dollars and then I had cancelled that order.

  • got 2 delivered for 23.98
    thansk OP

  • Got a white one as already have a black. Great price. Thanks OP!

  • bought tronsmart standard model USD19 a year ago, now this one is just AUD11

  • How come I'm getting $13.55AUD, not the $11.90

    • Probably have tracking and insurance selected

      • Even when I unticked tracking and insurance I still can't get the advertised price, I got charged $9.46. Anyone got any idea why?
        https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/24969/42319/banggood.p…

        • I got charged $9.46. Anyone got any idea why?

Yep, easy… the original ITEM PRICE is wrong.

          Your purchase $20.13 less discount 53% = $9.46

          Should be USD $18.99 less discount 53% = $8.93

LOOK AT PRODUCT PAGE >> http://i.imgur.com/Eze4TdA.png

        • @llama: I have no way to change the original price. I saw that price on the search result page for "blitzwolf" but once I click inside the price changed.

        • +1

          @samehada:

No you cannot change the price.

You need to remove that one from your Cart.

Then click the LINK IN THIS DEAL and buy again.

Try it - click that picture up the ^^ top right ^^

        • @llama:

          Here's a demo that I just screen captured > http://i.imgur.com/N1EpzCY.png

        • @llama: I did that, but the price of $18.99 show up while page loading and instantly changed once the page finished loading. I am not in Australia now so I suspect they showed different price based on your IP location. I will try to use VPN with Aus IP to try. This is really dodgy and annoying.

  • I can't select a plug type. Does that mean they're out of stock? (8:20pm)

    • I have the same problem, i'd guess that there sold out

      • I had the same problem. But after a few tries, it was working again.

    • Worked when I tried again later.

  • I got email saying they run out of stock. Anyone else? I placed order on Tuesday.

    • placed it just now. didn't had any issues

    • I ordered mine on Wednesday and it got shipped out yesterday.

  • Did anyone else get charged a foreign exchange fee despite paying in AUD?

    • This happened to me before on the Australian Eshop, completely bizarre. I never bothered to chase it up because it was a small amount but I can only assume you can get it back if you raise the issue.

    • I saw this on another thread but you can try it

For those who don't know how…

Instructions on how to change your PayPal billing currency:
Login to PayPal, click settings, click payments, click pre-approved payments, click select available funding sources, next to the credit card you want to pay with click 'conversion options', then click 'Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice.'

This will then charge your credit card in USD, at which stage your credit card will use the MasterCard/Visa exchange rates, instead of using PayPal's lesser exchange rates if you let them convert it for you.

      • Try what?

I chose to pay in AUD on the banggood website. I've also had previously set to be charged in AUD (using Paypals exchange) rather than USD/CC's exchange rate.

        • A lot of banks now charge a foreign exchange fee if the payment processor is overseas, even if the charge is in your local currency. Even more reason to use paypal charged in USD, with a 28 degrees card or similar.

Can have it set up for auto payment every month to the full owing amount from your bank account as well.

  • This is cheap so I want to buy it but also want to be able to justify the purchase.
If I don't do much travelling is this useful? I mean I have enough power extensions at home for my devices currently.

  • Ordered one :) Hopefully gets to me soon.

  • Does not work anymore, says 500 limit done

  • Can you please extend the deal rep? PLEASEE

  • Has This expired, doesn't seem to work for me.

  • late to the party … rep could you please extend it further ?

  • Looks like I missed the boat as well, will there be another departure or was that the last one?

  • +4

It says "This coupon could only be used 500 times" but I only tried to use it once….

  • Ordered on the 7th received today ~8:00am

  • Both mine arrived today, in working order.
The speed was surprising … . I was waiting for a 1000 grit whetstone but this was betterer …

    • Yeah exactly 7 days from ordering - impressive! Seem to be using some sort of forwarder out of NZ

  • Woah i certainly wasnt expecting Blitzwolf in the packaging when I opened up my mail today ! Shocked and impressed with the speed of delivery. Normally stuff from China rocks up in 1 or 2 months ! Edit: location - Brisbane, QLD
I have got a few things on charge, seems to be charging most of them ok except my LG G4 which is supposed to support Quick Charge 2.0 even though the charger from LG does not support it. The Blitzwolf is charging it at a very very low rate, like 30ma - 40ma etc. (Measured using Ampere app).
But it could also be my phone, its had plenty of issues and had its motherboard replaced through QD_AU once..

  • +1

Got mine today fastest delivery ive experienced from banggood thus far, ordered on the 5th and shipped out on the 7th good work :)

  • Yeah mine arrived too. These took under a week and look to have come from NZ. The blitzwolf cables I got them from them took a month or so, so was impressed how quickly these got here.

  • +1

Just ordered one for A$12.02, code BW5UC still works.

  • +1

Ordered 6/9. Email said shipped on 7/9. Delivered today 6 days later including a weekend. Pretty fast "from China". That said, package looks to be at least reshipped from Waterloo NSW.

  • Seen as it getting delivered to perth I will wait a few more weeks.

  • Code still works.

  • Verified code working again

  • Can confirm it's still working, just bought one for AUD $12.08 plus 4.8% cashback via cashrewards!

    • Just tried now. Wasn't able to add to cart. Using mobile though. Does it still work for you?

  • I didn't receive my item yet :(

  • Just bought…… $8.93(USD)

    Or $12.34 aud……..

  • +1

Delivery was very speedy..package was from Vanuatu?! o_O

    • +1

Yep. Same here, a white one from Vanuatu.

  • Got my ones yesterday! Pretty quick :)

  • Rec'd today in SA. Cheers!

  • I wonder who packed my order.

Ordered 2 x black chargers with EU plugs and received 2 x white chargers with AU plugs.

  • How confident are you to have these run in your house without supervision? Just a bit anal on the C-Tick certification etc. I'm fine to use if I am sitting there though.

  • Received mine on Friday, disappointed it didnt support Qualcomm fast charging on my LG G4 :(

  • Got mine too. Impressed by the quality, it's nice and heavy and charges my stuff quickly.

Charging rapidly on my Nexus 5X.
