Australia stock is at around $750 while grey import hovers above $600
So for under $600 I'd say it's a bargain for local stock and Australia Warranty!

Note that the remote control / FPV range is shorter on Standard version as it uses WiFi for image downlink.

  That's a great price, even for the standard which is on sale often. Is it worth getting 1.5 year old tech though?

    It's a perfect first drone IMHO, but if your area is jammed by WiFi, consider Advanced or Phantom 4 as they have lightbridge.

      Well, if your area is jammed by WiFi then you are probably not supposed to fly there in the first place… :-)
      For amateur use I believe the Lightbridge is overrated and not much use as you are required to keep the bird under under your visual control all the time. Unless you got eagle's eyes the WiFi is more than enough - definitely would let you go further than the law allows you.
      In the interest of all drone owners we should all try to stick to the law to avoid further restrictions.
