:( just bought at $737.10 from this deal

    • Yeah I missed out on the $737.10 deal. Might pull the trigger on this one.

    • +1

      and i bought 2 S7 @$737 :( :(

  • +7

I want a new phone but the S8 is 4 months away.

    First world problems.

    • +10

I'm waiting for note 7 extra safe edition. 1st world note problem!

      • +4

I think it will be called the note 8. Lol.

        • +1

Sammy might sell the refurbished note 7 after figuring out what actually went wrong in India & China next year.

        • +4

@Rsg: I don't think the airports will allow it. They won't have any way to easily check whether it's a "Fixed" one or a dangerous one.

The Note 7 brand is dead.

        • @Rsg:
          lol..
You better do your research well before buying samsung's products..

        • @illuSion:

Thanks but i think you missed the humour & what MIGHT happen with note series that is been in rumours.

I been note user since note 1 & had to revert back to note 4 after note 7 debacle.

        • @lostn: true that, they probably going rename it with slightly different physical look. It's 2 billion dollars loss for Samsung & am sure they will have contingency plan either to rebadge or sell for components.

        • @lostn:

I thought they pulled the note 7, why are they ordering 4 million note 7 batteries a month?

        • @t_c: imo the fault is with charging via type c over current issue, after the battery started exploding they just went with even pure lithium battery but the problem was with charging circuit. The batteries are fine and most likely will be reused by Sammy or other vendors.

  • No iPhone 7 plus deal?

    • Nope all are pretty bad, which is why i just got it from apple. Pickup in store same day.

    • Seems like you missed the best ever deal $999 from kogan couple months ago :) I would assume there would be lots of deal coming over the next few weeks for the holidays season.

      • -3

Seems like some Samsung fans giving negative votes.

        • Hahaha yeah like it would affect us somehow

  • 6S Plus deal?

    • Or SE deal?

  • +2

    Galaxy S7 in silver deal?

    • Any chance of getting the Galaxy S7 in Gold?

  • Now if only they did a deal on the Nexus 5x 32GB that is in the same league as DWI. $407 would get there after 10% off and TRS.

  • Is there any requirement to get the iphone 7 deal?
I can't add it to my cart. It says This seller won't sell to buyers who don't meet their requirements.

  • Is there a way to remove the 'Optus Network Branding' on the S7? I assume this is something like a splash screen and Optus apps that you can't delete? I know you can 'root' the phone to remove things like that but I believe it voids the warranty.

    • +2

Network models and open model in Australia are same models (G930F), you can simply download official firmwares for unbranded one in Australia and flash it using Odin. That doesn't void warranty.

Of course, do it at your own risk.

      • +2

I remember Optus store can do it for you, if I remember correctly from the old ozbargain deal comments.

        • thanks

  • +1

Looking for S7 Edge in silver

  • +3

@Rep, can you do a similar deal for S7 edge, $799?

  • +2

Given up on waiting for the S7 Edge deal, going to wait for S8

    • +1

By the time you get a good deal on S8 it will be around this time next year and then S9 will not be far away…

      • Things might change. Looking at iphone 7 plus deal from kogan $999 was amazing for newly launched phone! It might happen to S8 too considering the price drops faster for S7.

        • +1

You are comparing HK stock of iP7P to AU stock of S7E.

If you're willing to accept HK stock, the S7E might have had some good deals already.

  • -1

what about lg v20 or g5?

    • I would go for the v20 if I was sure they've fixed the boot loop issue from previous LG models.

  • +3

if someone do not want to spend $699 in one go on S7, then $65/month deal on Optus is also another option.
    $699/24 = $29.12/month
So for ~$36/month we get 7GB data , unlimited local and 150 international minutes to selected countries.

    • +1

If you sign up for an Optus plan at HN, you get a further $240 off, but you have to be really quick. It expires soon, if it hasn't already.

    • +1

That's a damn good deal, but I think I'd still buy it outright if possible. Competition with phone plans is absolutely insane right now, so it'd be a pain to tie yourself down to Optus for 2 years.

  • to claim TRS, you have to leave country within 60 days correct ?

    • +1

      Yes, that's right.

    • Can we open and use it before claiming trs at airport?

      • Pretty sure you can, as long you show them the original box too ..don't quote me on that though

        • I openned used my Bose QC35's before i went on my trip, didnt bring the original box and they didnt check for it. They only checked for the headphones which i wore around my neck.

  • why you no gold?

Any chance there's gold one on same price?

    • I wish they made a white one.

It's the first Galaxy S series phone I've seen that didn't have white as a colour. I think the metallic colours look tacky due to the reflectiveness. It's basically a mirror, and I've never liked mirrors on a phone.

iPhone 7 256 Black from Apple store for $1379.

$1149 delivered from Mobileciti Australian stock, save $230, cheap.

  • whats the iphone 7 128gb worth? or does this only apply to the 256gb model

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Bought a black ip7 256 :)

  • Hm based on the positive votes of this relative to this, I'd have to assume the majority of the votes are for the iPhone prices.

The Galaxy S7 deal over there is better as it's for all colours and it comes with a free tempered glass.

    • It must be since 3 of them are marked as out of stock now.

      • 3 of this deal are now marked as out of stock. The other deal still has all in stock + more colour options

        • +1

I should have given more context.

I'd have to assume the majority of the votes are for the iPhone prices.
