  • How does this compared to this Sony 65":
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

    Only $11 dearer.

I was supposed to raise this question as well. Paying another $11 would make you happier 100 times with Sony (compared to Hisense). As far as I remember, it's at $1795 in Videopeo for delivered

I was instore actually at JBs checking out both TV. I am in the market for one.

Sony is a more established brand, but the TV u mentioned is a low range model and looks like it.

The Hisense model here I think is a higher range one, and the build quality is much better. The picture quality looked good too

        • So screen wise you are saying that hisense beats sony, what about specs?

        • Ditto, and another one to throw into the mix - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

From a quick glance, the picture quality on the Hisense did look better than the LG and Sony.

        • @wildstone: I am speaking from my viewing experience, remember it's subjective. I personally like bright and colorful. Hisense delivers.

I didn't look at the spec sheet yet, but was checking Whirlpool. Apparently, this Sony model don't come with the fancy Sony TV terminologies as their higher end models.

      • By the way, the reviews for the particular Sony model doesn't provide much comfort. Something about daily resets

        • Is this the correct Sony model?

          http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x750d

Comparing reviews then (very loose comparison but both are decent review sites):

          Hisense - 9/10 (avforums)
          Sony - 7.6/10 (rtings)

        • @Stix: yer I saw that link too while researching. But it's not exactly it? I ended up just going through the Whirlpool link

I own this TV and it is superb. Purchased it for a similar price from JB about a month ago. Don't be put off by the Hisense brand, it is an exceptional panel.

    • Yer, it's just a new comer to the market, but a TV is for viewing right. Mostly, anyways :)

  • Is there a big difference between the Hisense 65K3300UW vs this the 65M7000UWG.

The K3300UW is not HDR but there are discussions around using european Hisense firmware to enable HDR on this model.

    Available at JBHiiFi for $1396

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-home-entertainment/hd-televisio…

    • You can enable it via foreign firmware but it does not display properly for some colours as noticed by some xbox one s users i believe. The M series does not have such problem. Thats my understanding. Haven't used HDR on mine though only way would be a few test files or maybe a few netflix titkes as i dont own a HDR console. Content just isnt out there really.

From my experience…. i own am 65M7000 and also got a 55K3300 for the GF. There is not a massive difference between them. I have personally had a bad experience with quality control of the sets however, had to return a 70M for stuffed pixels, and a 65M for 1/3 of the panel not illuminating same as the rest of screen. Now my third screen and the edge lighting on bottom right of screen in one section is a bit dull so on bright/light screens i notice at. Annoying, usually its not obvious though so i have just accepted it as quite frankly TGG were a nightmare to deal. Otherwise the TV and picture is pretty good (i came from a plasma).

The Hisense M models are on par with the household brands, if it saves you $$$ then save your cashola get one of these bad boys and maybe use the money on a decent sound bar!

  • 120hz refresh rate; is it good for gaming ?

    • +1

I have a PS4 (normal) and it works great

  • seems to have the features but the site doesnt say if its 8bit or 10bit?

if 8bit then the sammy ku6000 would be better for around $1600 on sale

    • avforums say its 10 bit.

      • +1

Its 8bit +frc. Which is the same as the sammy which is also 8bit.

        • The 7000 series is 10Bit.. not 8bit

        • is it? really tho?
