  • Damn! That 16gb

  • Will a class 10 do 720p @ 60fpm or 120fpm?

    • do you feel the difference beyond 60fps?

      • +1

High fps can be slowed down heaps without the jittery effect.

        • +1

or you can roll your eyes at 120fps while watching to remove any jitter

        • @ozdesi:

Slow motion footage with higher fps… so…will the card work?

        • +2

@tunzafun001: It depends on what video bitrate you want your 720p/120fps to be recorded in. If at 10Mbps, yeah sure this card easily handles it. But at 100Mbps, this card is going to struggle.

        • @tunzafun001: SSD will work reliably not sure about class 10 card, most likely it will not be able record at that speed. You may want ~300fps capture for slow mo to work properly with bare minimum as 120fps.

You really need to look at u3 logo instead of class of the SDXC card itself. class 10 cards may have it or may not have it.

          https://suggestionofmotion.com/blog/sony-a7s2-data-memory-ca…

This card in the bargain is SDHC and not SDXC so you will not find u3 logo on it. See here for more details

@edfoo: hmm it will be 10MB/s not 10Mbps

        • @ozdesi: Really? If his 720p/120fps is recorded in 10MBps (which is equivalent to 80Mbps), I think this EVO card may struggle too.

        • @edfoo: You really need to read sdcard.org link I provided above to know that class 10 SDHC card has min. sequential write speed of 10MB/sec. What makes you think EVO card may struggle, it is a SDHC class 10 card.

        • @ozdesi: Yes you are right, EVO card should be able to cope with 80Mbps sequential video recording. However 80Mbps video bitrate is high, even GoPro 5 Black only has maximum 60Mbps video bitrate, I personally would choose at least the newer and faster EVO Plus or even Pro card in the Samsung range. For phone and tablet usage, EVO card is more than fast enough.

    • Yeah make that Fps!

    • ok everyone. I run three dashcams and a number of 4K recording phones, and they all handle 60fps at either 720p or 1080p with no issues. i am using Class 10 Lexar microSD cards. you're hardly going to get 720p at 60fps recorded at a bitrate of 100MB/sec, that's ridiculous, think more like 20 or 30MB/sec max.

for reference, most 4K 30fps starts at 50MB/sec, with 'fine' settings going at 75MB/sec. so to answer the OP question, he is more that in the clear.

      • You meant 100Mb/sec, not 100MB/sec (which is equivalent to 800Mb/sec).
        b = bit
        B = byte
        1 byte = 8 bits

    +1 for the avatar 😜

    • I think im seeing double here… FOUR HOMERS!

  • Thanks op. Ordered 2* MicroSD.
Man have prices fallen over the last decade. Feeling old :)

    • Not really - MSY sold the 32GB Class 10 MicroSD Card for $9 in 2014 when these Samsung Evo first were introduced - stocked up then.

      • +1

Ok I missed that. Guess I haven't been shopping for MicroSD's for a long time.

        • Nothing to miss. Many of us who placed an order at the time also missed it. Most orders failed. They were cancelled or people turning up at the store were told all stock was gone. More like you didn't waste your time.

        • +1

@BlueSkyHarvest: Or we went into The Good Guys and got it price matched.

      • +1

😀 It was a great introductory deal, but you're right - memory card prices are much lower. Bought a Toshiba 1GB SD card on sale for $99 in 2006!
        This is a good price.

Interestingly, the 2014 link in that deal takes you to the same cards @$16 now😯

  • The USB to SATA dock looks like a good price. Not a lot of reviews around for this specific model though.

  • Thanks op I'm needing a DP to HDMI cable. Always been happy with MSY cables

That mouse saving is laughable though. Their normal list price is $24

  • SteelSeries 62169(MSHEROES) Heroes Of The Storm Edition 5670DPI USB Wired Gaming Mouse

Is it a gaming mice deal for $19?
There also seems to be a $4 mouse pad.

May anyone using this mouse now please comment/ provide a review?

    • Crawling back out my box. From comments I have seen online it is based on the SteelSeries raw, so some of the reviews online might help.

  • Anyone know if that Samsung evo 16gb is any good for a phantom 3? (Aside from storage capacity obviously, drone only flies for 25mins)

  • +1

I''m getting $12 delivery for the $6 micros sd card. Any way to get it free delivery aside from picking from store?

    • I want to know as well, was going to order one of them and after giving all my details, the site shows I have to pay $12 for shipping :(

information loss and waste of time, should have sticked with ebay like usual. dodgy msy, should show shipping without making me register :(

  • Went in store. As usual, "no stok"

    • Ask them to do back order. We have 500+ coming next week.

      • He didnt seem interested in helping me. I asked him and he just fobbed me off. This was the ultimo store. Might try hurstville as it's closer to me..

  • I had a 32GB fail (recent sale through OZB) & still they're dragging heel— over about $12 retail…

    Really ending my Samsung recommendation.

I gave the story (I LOST my vids of my daughter playing piano, in public, I lost the rest!)— no apology.

They- took my photos- & came back after asking POP (proof-of-purchase).

    Many days ago now.
