There is hardly any shared car in Sydney CBD with GoCatch and you see millions for UBER.
Now the question is - Can you use the credits on Taxi with GoCatch?
yes you can
Use gocatch for work trip -> apply $5 discount coupon -> claim back the full amount = $5 profit
If you're willing to rip your employer off, why not just take a bus and claim a full cab fare?

No bus to airport and I would already be saving them ~50% by getting a ride share instead of a regular cab. Receipt says fare $30, payment then split between Credit $5 and CC $25. Not ripping them off at all :)
Sounds like a guy I know, who went out for dinner at TGI Fridays with us, used his entertainment guide coupon and then asked everyone for the split of the full amount :(
That's pretty poor form. With my accor plus card i get 25% off by myself, or 50% off dining with two ppl. So when travelling for work usually invite a colleague and we both enjoy a bloody cheap meal.
That's awesome. I do the same thing splitting Amex offers with people.

This applies when Uber is surging. Gocatch doesn't have surge so if you get a Gocatch while Uber is surging then it will be more affordable.
I know Uber's minimum is 6 bucks per trip. What's gocatch's minimum?

Not in Victoria, its $6 here.
I catch uber to work when I'm super lazy (1.2km) and it's always $6.
