Post should clarify which regions PS store has this offer, it looks like a US only offer to me.

    • Works for AU as well. It's on the banner when you login to the AU PS Store.

I wonder if that includes PS Plus subscription.

    • I wonder how many people don't read posts properly…

  • +3

Wouldn't trust if you want the credit any time soon, last time this promotion ran it took them about 3 months to honor it.

    • Checking calendar… yep, April still stuck at 30 days - bit of a problem then!

      • Hey I've actually got a question re: the Spend $75 Get $15 dealio; so I want to pre-order LocoRoco Remastered to bump me over the $75 thresh-hold, but I'm not sure if it (as a pre-order) counts? In the details of the cashback program it says:

        “Applicable Products”
Any items available in an Applicable Store (including any pre-order purchases of the Horizon Zero Dawn game completed before the Opening Date). >

So do you reckon that means only H:ZD counts? Or were they just using that as an example? I don't want to get to April and find I didn't qualify because, for what ever reason, this preorder doesn't count.

        • It means all pre-orders. The H:ZD is because the game came out before the deal, so they backdated this deal to cover it.

  • So basically they want us to buy the BF1 premium/deluxe. That makes it easier.

  • +2

everything is cheaper to buy externally anyway bar some old games

  • -2

So no bargains for March on the PS store. Thanks for saving my time Sony!

  • +1

Rather annoying I guess if you pre-ordered digitally for Horizon Dawn a week earlier.. but may be a nice incentive for Mass effect Andromeda coming up.

    • +1

Seems to include Horizon Zero Dawn
      “Applicable Products”
Any items available in an Applicable Store (including any pre-order purchases of the Horizon Zero Dawn game completed before the Opening Date).

    • Yep I preordered Horizon digitally on Tuesday. So I miss out?

      • Yeah I did the same and preordered Horizon a couple of days ago. Bit annoying that I miss out on the credit since my download hasn't even finished.

      • You should have it because HZD released in March. Sony will count your pre-order

        • Oh so they don't bill you until it releases?

Edit: nah I was definitely charged on 27th. Oh well no biggie.

        • +2

          @Munkeyalan:
No, Sony will charge you straight away. But according to this

"Any items available in an Applicable Store (including any pre-order purchases of the Horizon Zero Dawn game completed before the Opening Date)."

They might count your pre-order as purchasing in March.

        • @kendo:
Hope so, but my account is actually at the $200 limit, I wonder what they may do with my preorder purchase….

        • @kendo: Oh heck yeah.
I haven't received the email that the OP quoted though.
          We'll see.

Last time they ran a similar promotion via PayPal, so many people waited for months to get their $10 back and some never got it back at all. I ended up having to call PayPal to sort it out, PlayStation Australia was useless.

    • I forgot all about this. Never got any cashback last time :-(
Do you have a link to the old promo last time?

      • +1

        Found it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/163555

Scroll down to the bottom and read my frustrations, along with several other members here who participated last time.

It seems I didn't post in that thread about my eventual recovery of the $15 cashback money owed (I think it was in a separate OzB forum post) but several other people weren't so lucky.

        • Thanks!

    • Yes, this was a pain the arse to get the credit. I will never do a promo like this again.

      • in the last promotion via paypal, i ended up having to call Playstation UK and they took another 3 weeks before i got the cashback.
        really PITA

    • Don't forget they just changed their CEO for PlayStation Aus it's gonna be worse

  • Do pre-orders charge immediately these day? Any one know if making a pre-order will qualify for the spend?

    • +2

They do charge immediately, or at least Horizon Zero Dawn had a big "IMMEDIATE PAYMENT REQUIRED" on the store page when I pre-ordered it.

  • Thanks OP! Does a cumulative $75 across separate orders get you the $10 cashback?

  • +1

so am i eligible if i already have money in my wallet from prepaid cards? is it just spending $75 in your wallet to get this credit? if so, Horizon here I come!!! :)

    • I was thinking the same thing! I have enough to buy horizon dawn and the credit will make it $65! (its $79.9 on PS store)

      • it's $69 at BigW atm for those wanting physical copies…. i hope this is how it works…. can anyone confirm that we can just use the money in our wallet and get the $15 credit in April?

  • +1

Can i top up my ps plus subscription with the credit in the wallet and get the voucher?

    • +2

I would also like to know. If no-one responds I will let you know on the 30th because mine expires on the 29th.

    • +1

      According to T&Cs, yes - https://www.playstation.com/en-au/legal/march-cashback/

      “Applicable Products”
Any items available in an Applicable Store (including any pre-order purchases of the Horizon Zero Dawn game completed before the Opening Date).

      “Applicable Stores”
PlayStation®3 system store, PlayStation®4 system store, PlayStation®Vita system store and the PlayStation® Store, excluding all other PlayStation® system stores and in-game commerce.

  • When does the promo actually start?

I bought horizon dawn just last week on US PSN

EDIT: Nevermind, obviously starts from March doh.

  • 1st March. Here I am. Thinking about buying Nioh. I decide that it's not going to get any cheaper soon and there's not going to be any promos soon so I buy it. One day later. Here we are.

Paid full price. I feel like I've brought shame on my inner bargain self.

    • +2

Oh man, this is like OzBargain's version of the ending to The Mist.

    • +1

I got nioh at full price too but have to day..I'm loving it so much that I'm not even worried about that…

  • Bah, bought the very well priced Battlefield 1 / Titanfall 2 combo on the 28th of Feb.. >_<

  • bastards!! I bought horizon yesterday

    • Still eligible -> Read T&C's.

  • Ok its time to fully utilized this bargain as my ps plus subscription is ending soon lol.

lets all share to see which is the best method to get the best discounts.

    1) Entertainment book membership 5% (woolies wishcards)

    2)cashrewards 5% (woolies wishcards)

    3)nrma 5% (woolies wishcards)

    4)pricepal 5% (woolies wishcards)

PSN store has nothing really at a good price….tomb raider 25th anniversary for 37 bucks which is not really a good deal as you can buy the physical copy for that price or even lower on gumtree.

    • Have got some credit from 20% off psn card deals. Might use it to top up my subscription. If i get some credit back, its good

      • Its sort of the same as 20% of 75 spent is 15 bucks but only this time they want you to spent all the 75 at one go o_o……..only thing they have no good digital discount on psn and the only thing i can think of is ps plus….

  • I thought it's recharge $75 get $15 free damn… Can't find anything to spend $75 not worth it

  • Can you buy this (Battlefield 1+ Titanfall 2 Bundle Deluxe) for $73.40 (Plus) + a cheap digital game?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/294946
It makes Battlefield 1+ Titanfall 2 Bundle Deluxe to be $60 AUD (includes discount) which is a great price.

  • Can i buy PSN gift card, then just spend $75 in store and still get the credit?

    • Thanks for reading the T&Cs

      “Applicable Payment Method”
      Any available payment method.

  • +3

"Note that the Qualifying Spend need not be performed in a single transaction but may be performed in a number of transactions during the Promotional Period. "

  • -2

    Anything good?

  • “Voucher Send Timing”
    Between 1st and 9th April 2017.<

Fully expecting to receive this on 9th April 11:59pm…

  • a lot of the "Only on Playstation" sales finishes on the 6th April… i was hoping to use the credit to buy one of these games but i guess it's highly likely they'll email the credit after the sales finishes…. DOH!!!!

  • +1

Yeah looks like they have timed this very well. Got this email yesterday:

    Dear xxxx,

For spending $75 at PlayStation®Store this March, we’re sending you a $15 wallet top-up voucher code to use in April.

It’ll appear in the Notifications area on your PS4™ between 6 and 7 April.

    From,
    PlayStation®Store Team

Maybe there might be some discounts on games again later on this month.

    • I still have not received an email or PSN notification :(

  • received the email, haven't received the notification on PS4.

  • Can someone explain how it works.
Lets say $100 in your PSN wallet before you apply the $15 voucher Which makes it $115. If you buy something costing $50 for example.
Does it use the $15 so the remaining $65 balance wont expire when May arrives? Or does it use your existing money? Meaning unless you spend all of it $15 of it will expire at the end of the month?

    Thank you :)

    • +1

The $15 in your wallet will never expire, just the code to enter the $15.

      • Okies thank you :)

  • Has anyone received their voucher for the $15? Where abouts did you receive it email or on your ps4 via a code??

    • +1

Edit turns out there is a message in new games saying.

There is a slight delay in sending the wallet top up vouchers. Eligible users will receive an email with there code in the next few days. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

      • Thanks for the heads up

  • I still haven't received the $15, looks like I'm not the only one

    • Yeah still haven't hopefully within the next few days. I don't want the hassle of chasing this up :\

  • :( I've received nothing so far… no email or notification… spend $90 in March because of this promotion and still have not seen anything…. very disappointed :(

    • Received nothing yet, pre ordered horizon in March. :/

  • yeh still waiting for mine too =/

  • +1

I emailed them on Thursday asking what was going on, and got a reply on Friday saying that there had been a problem sending out the voucher codes, and that they will be emailed out instead of going via the console's notification system.

  • +1

And I guess we are all still waiting?

  • +1

Anyone got the voucher yet? This is really pathetic from Sony. I'll bet this ends up as something you'll have to chase them up to get.

  • Argh, mine actually arrived on the 11th in the form of an e-mail. I was just expecting money to be credit to my wallet like when you have a game refunded. Anyone who hasn't got theirs yet, make sure to check your promotions/spam folder.

  • Am I the only one still waiting?! This reminds me of the last time they had a similar promotion where they sent me the voucher by e-mail just a few days before it was due to expire. When I tried entering the voucher code I kept getting an error and then it expired. It took me about two months and multiple phone calls to finally get the voucher. Why is it so hard for them to send out the vouchers?!
