If you already have an account with Ashampoo, sign in first. When you click through the serial number will added to your existing account.

  • Thanks!

  • What does this mean (further down the page)…

Upgrade offer from within the product
    Ashampoo Burning Studio 10
Upgrade price for GOTD users: $29.99 instead of $49.99!

    • I dunno what the difference is - i'll just stick with the 2010 version!

  • Downloaded it but i couldnt unzip the files cause it wanted me to buy a WinRAR license, Is this right?

You can use 7-zip, it's free.

      • +1

So is WinRAR for non-commercial use IIRC! ;)

        • +4

          7-zip is open source.

@stumo: Yeah, that's common knowledge, so what?

[edit] I see a lotta negs, but is nobody gonna be grown up enough to say exactly why the open source solution is supposedly better??? :p

        • -2

          No, it is not.

          • @older: Go with WINRAR

          • @older: Hmm, it seems you may be right…looks like they've changed the licence, only PPC looks free now; oh well, my v3.7 is free though under the old licence! I use it so infrequently the odd nag screen doesn't worry me too much!

You could always look around for one of the older evaluation copies like mine if you were serious about it, not sure when they clicked over! :p

  • Ashampoo have some good programs, I have the free version of Burning Studio 2009 and Magical Defrag 3 which are both great.

You can activate using this key "BS0AA4-77AA91-F346CC". No need to register.

    • Yeah, I found registering mine and my wifes computer resulted in the same number.

    • Good on you mate!!!!!

Sign up using an e-mail that you don't rely on when creating your Ashampoo account, in the past months since I got this software, I receive 1-2 upgrade/purchase offers a week.

    • Me too.

All the emails go straight to junk now (filtered).

I liked Ashampoo's previous burning suite so much I bought it during a mega discount offer. It's great and doesn't screw up some of my other programs like Nero did/does. I don't like GoTD though - unless you get a license and can reinstall it again later, otherwise it's not a real giveaway in my book.

    • you do get a license - but they're only giving away the key within the next 15 hrs or whatever

      • Looks like it has to be installed and activated fairly soon as well. So its only good as a once off.

If anyone wants a slightly earlier version that you can install whenever you want to then send me a message

      • I'm pretty sure this is the same version given away with Australian PC User Magazine every now and then. It's different than the retail version of Burning Studio 10. Still, the Burning Studio 2009 software was enough to get me to buy Burning Studio 9 (see my comment above), so yeah, this'll get a +ve from me now.

  • Burning Studio 9 and Burning Studio 10 are much more comprehensive programmes with many more features and options than Burning Studio 2010. However, if you don't need those additional features, BS 2010 is great burning tool.
I found Ashampoo Burning Studio far more reliable, easier to use and better than Nero.

    • Nero ceased to be anything like halfway decent back at v7.85….it's been all bloatware since! ;)

  • Now it says the giveaway is not available any more.

Where do I get this from now?
