Just as a note I have 1w radios (twice the power of 0.5w) radios and they're "ok" at best. 0.5w radios are junk at best.

    • Alright for kids around the house ?

      • I got a 7 mile set myself, not sure how much is the power. this is ok for kids to play with but 3km is not useful in most situation, but good to use in a theme park or easter show.

      • Radio signals are line of sight so walls/valleys/objects/roofs will interfere with the signal. You might get use with it inside your own house but I wouldn't buy it to for use when connection/reliability matters.

  • Not really a bargain price for this set..Sometimes can be found less than 30 on repco sales.

.5w ok for giving to the kids on a small campsite and around the house. On road trips you need to be pretty much within line of sight and less than 300m to use.
