size chart - foot length measure toe to heel. then buy one size up. They grow out of it within couple months

    • +1

Skinny does not mean small feet. As huu said, if you buy too large, it will at least be able to be used.

    • I was looking for my niece and nephew too (twins just starting to walk) but none of these shoes are appropriate. Babies need very soft soled shoes when they are just learning to walk so they can learn how to balance properly using their toes. The range in the deal all have adult style soles which a baby can't easily bend. I'd pick up a pair which is a few sizes bigger than they need right now. They will grow into them soon enough and it will be better for their walking development!

My 336 month old friend brought these for his 60 month old based off the size chart…

CARTOFFER01 from last deal still works for free shipping.

How many coupons could one use though?

      • +1

The codes stack fine. The limit of codes at once? Dunno.

        • Just tried stacking with a NBMEMBER2017 (20% code given when you sign up) and it didn't work. Also, if you spend over $100, you get free shipping.

Don't be fooled by the New Balance 40% discount. They practice Katchmandu pricing strategy.

    • Can you please explain what that is? As in they raise prices? I haven't shopped at Kathmandu in ages so I don't remember if they used to do that.

      • +2

        RRP is waaay overpriced!

(although 40% + freeship is pretty good)

        • So, does that make 40% off a decent price then? I mean a quick glace at the store and their prices seem to be in line with most 'sporty' brands. What items are over priced? Or are you implying that the brand is trash and is over charging for their 'brand'?

        • +1

          @Smol Cat:

The brand is ok. I just wouldn't pay $200+ for runners unless it's ASICS or Brooks etc. I'm actually buying a $60 pair now which I think is good value. TO be fair, they're not as bad as Kathmandu in terms of exaggerated RRPs.

    • +1

Not really, their brand is worth the extra, while Katchmandu is just a local brand. Don't know why New balance is that cheap in Australia after very often discount. It is much cheaper than China and even cheaper than Amazon.

      • I would have to agree, I have quite a bit of their stuff from previous sales (both shoes and apparel) and everything has been of high quality. I'm a quite fan of their designs as well.

Just bought a cabin bag for $72, without seeing any info on it (disappointingly so), purely on the reputation of the brand, as I've been happy with everything else I got from them. Also got a windcheater for $43 - didn't really need another one but couldn't resist.

    • New Balance quality is 5x better than Katmandu.

New Balance leather sneakers are some of the best made shoes in the world. They even make some models in the USA.

Speaking as someone who is a basketball/walking sneaker enthusiast/sneakerhead with over 50 pairs of sneakers in different brands.

      • what is the model number of leather sneakers?

        • 1978 New Balance?

    • It depends of the model, the price is good for the ones made in UK or US but if you are buying a model made in Asia it's overpriced.

      For example (UK made):
      http://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/576-made-in-uk/M576-P.html#c…

      US made:
      http://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/new-balance-990v4/M990-V4.ht…

Add to that their ENCAP is a really good sole.

Although I can't pull those off, I'm sure they're perfectly hipster approved.

    • Good find. I bought a pair !

Also 6.5% CR and free returns. Can't really complain. (even though I just did above lol)

    • No cashback if you use external codes

      • That's what the T&Cs say but from experience it's rarely the case. Unless it's different for NB.
(btw it wasn't me who negged you)

    • Damn. I missed out on 67c cash Rewards.

  • It's strange how the official site doesn't have all the sizes available
    New Balance 247 Breathe - Size 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
    New Balance 247 Breathe - Size 5, 6, 7, 9

They remove sizes/colours as they are sold out.

  • Was just trying to find this today. Just signed up with bupa so gt $200 to spend.

    • you can't stack it with other promo codes unfortunately :(

  • What is the sizing like? If I'm a 10.5 US (44.5 EU, 9-9.5 UK) with Nike/Adidas etc, should I go for 10 or 11

      • cheers. Didn't know that, the ones I'm looking at don't have half sizes in stock I guess.

    • go with US10. I'm the same as you

  • Wife bought the 720v4 last month for $100 at a New Balance store (she thinks it was an outlet store, not sure). Same price online before discount. She loves the way they fit her, it was a no-brainer to get a second pair for $60.

  • oreder one shoe and one long sleve for 42.5

      This comment gave me cancer

  • Has anyone else bought the Tech Training Cabin Bag? I was disappointed that there is no product info whatsoever (especially the weight) and no photos of the bag's internals but took the plunge anyway.

    • +1

I've seen the bag at a new balance store, it's quiet light and orange interior. I would have bought one but I don't have a use for it.

      • Thanks for that, light is definitely good! I don't fly too often these days but it'll come in really handy when I do.

Now, why would anybody neg me for asking the question?

        • +1

No idea. +1 to restore balance!

  • black 624v4 for $78 delivered is okay; but not amazing.

    • May be it's just be but I don't think I was ever amazed amazed by a pair of runners. Seeing the sagrada de famillia on the other hand….

  • Do New Balance US shoe sizes match up with Nike sizes?

    • +1

In my case they did. In any event I typically measure my larger foot with a pair of socks and round it up in cm. Then look for the corresponding size on their chart. Haven't failed yet.

  • +1

Waiting for the "sorry we ran out of the shoe you ordered but we're replacing it with this hideous looking shoe" email
