Yep, ING customer here, I haven't received any such email about this offer. Most likely targeted.

Mine is"Just use your card to make 20+ purchases before 31 July 2017 and score a $25 bonus, deposited into your account month after offer expires."

    • +2

Same - could easily make 20 separate purchases of individual groceries in 1 shop, at self-checkout. Easy $25 😉

Offer received in 1 of 2 accounts at 6pm. No offer (yet) for other account.

      • $25 / (20 transactions of $0.01 at self checkout) = 12500% cash back.
Surely beats the old 2% cash back.

For comparison required spending to get $25 from old 2% cashback is $1250.

          Yes, I was thinking - maybe buy 1 grape 🍇 at a time @1c 😀

(Unfortunately have found there is a minimum purchase quantity with grapes as sold in bagged lots.)

          @Infidel: Split payments.

Should probably pay me for my 4 referrals before advertising more bonuses….

  • Mine is

Just deposit your salary of $1,000 or more in each of June and July and make 20+ card purchases before 31 July 2017 and score a $50 bonus, deposited into your account month after offer expires.

I only stopped depositing to my account 5 months ago

    • My one is just to deposit salary. No requirement to make card purchases.

I always deposit into ING, but I haven't made any ING card purchases since January. I have withdrawn money from an ATM once or twice, but that's the only time I have used ING card.

Didn't receive the email at all…. They probably promote the $25 bonus because they lost a lot of business due to removal of the 2% off paypass cashback!

  • +1

Mine is quite easy.. deposit $1000 for each june and july to get $50.

    • Me too :)

  • Bpay to my credit card is qualifying for the bonus? just wondering.

    • Can't see why not

      • so easy money for me

        • Probably make two bpay payments of $1 and get the $25

      • Got offer as well. to clarify, I think you may need set it up to take 2 payments automatically. not just make 2 payment.

Paying bills isn't much fun, but at least your Orange Everyday makes it easy when you set up regular BPAY or Direct Debit payments. And right now, you could get a $25 bonus.

  • I didn't get any email promo from them.

  • Can anyone see whether there is anything about minimum amount per payment or whether the 2 payments can be for the same account in the email or the T&Cs? I can't see any.

  • Yes I got the $50 email

  • I got a different promo, "deposit $1000 or more in June and July and score a $50 bonus". Yay me!

  • Mine is bpay and $25

    • I'd prefer this offer, much easier than dong the 20+ purchases

  • Yep, 2 family members got the $50 bonus (salary and 20+ purchases) and another 2 got the $25 bonus (20+ purchases)

  • I never get promo material anymore.. any way to resubscribe without calling them? I'm lazy.

    • Send them an internet banking message

  • 20 x $1 payments onto Telstra bill - aaand you're done.

  • Nice

  • These are targeted.

I got one saying to deposit my salary for June and July to get $50 bonus.

    • I got the same offer. The only problem is I am self-employed. Can I just deposit $1000 to my ING Orange account from another bank. Will that count?

      • how would they know its a salary vs a normal deposit?

        • They can see whether it's a normal deposit or salary deposit. It's shown on the bank statement

        • @citygal:

I am not sure they can tell. Like, for example, to get the total 3℅ savings interest rate (base + bonus) you are supposed to tell your employer to pay your salary into your ING account. I have not done that. I only transfer my money afterwards, since my employer only pays salaries to a single bank.

I Wonder if you could trick it by just making a transfer from an external account (one that has either previously transferred in or not, probably best if they have not previously transferred to your ING) and just put the subject as "Salary" ( or something similar)

        • @random12:

They can tell - my partner got his salary in ING directly and the bank statement shows "salary deposit". Also, the $1000 doesn't need to be your salary only (although it's the easiest way to fulfil the $1000 requirement) - it can be from an external account. Eg. you transfer $1000 from Macquaire to ING and you'll still be eligible for the 3% bonus. I do this every month for almost 2 years and there's no problem. I also clarified this with ING multiple times earlier on.

  • my offer is to "deposit salary" as well, but looking at the terms it seems just making external deposits will not count:

The offer applies in respect of the original recipient of this email only.
To be eligible for the $50 bonus payment, you must:
advise your employer to switch your salary (at least $1,000 per month in each of June and July) to your Orange Everyday bank account, and
have your salary (at least $1,000 per month) deposited into your Orange Everyday bank account in each of June and July of this year collectively the 'Eligibility Criteria'.

“Salary Deposit” means a deposit payment (or deposit payments) made directly from your employer into your Orange Everyday bank account totalling at least $1,000 in a calendar month. The definition of “Salary Deposit” also includes social welfare payments provided by the Commonwealth Government of Australia directly into your Orange Everyday bank account totalling at least $1,000 in a calendar month.

  • Received an email regarding the bonus a few days ago and this was paid.
