One of the cheapest DSLR camera. It was $688 7 months ago, and now dropped to $638 this week at Big W.

Sigma 18-55mm zoom lens, Pentax Kaf bayonet mount, SD compatible, 2.5” colour LCD, shake reduction system, 11 sensor points for auto focus, top shutter speed 1/4000 second, PictBridge compatible.

Cheapest I can find elsewhere is $659 (camera + sigma zoom lens).

Photograph itself is an expensive hobby and I thought a $600+ DSLR is pretty good value if you want to get started? But then I don’t think I can afford this hobby anyway and that’s why I am still using by $200 P&S camera…

Is this the “K100D” or the “K100D Super” ?

The “K100D” is an older model. Pentax upgraded the “K100D” with a dust removal system for the sensor a while ago. The enhanced SLR is now the “K100D Super”.

Cheapest SLR around and it’s a terrific entry level camera too.
