From what I understand it's because there's major construction going on in the centre and people probably dont even realise theyre open.

    • lol

    • i had to walk around the whole complex and on the main road because of the construction after a movie + dinner.. very poorly planned works..

    • I've seen people crossing the pedestrian bridge stop & then pause staring at the massive construction site with a puzzled look. And then I have to give them directions. No signage to direct them naturally

    • Yep. Have been doing $10 tickets for a little while now but was only to silver rewards members previously.

    Hello Fellow Perthion!

  • Hope the Remy problem has been sorted

  • booking fee of $3 per ticket if you purchase online

    edit: $1.50 per ticket

    • Should be free or discounted tickets if buying online, considering they saving staffing costs

      • it could be the system fee from the 3rd party maintenance.

    • Right both times. It's $1.50 for normal tickets, $3 for Lux tickets. $3.50 surcharge for Xtremescreen.

Book online for an Xtremescreen session and $10 has suddenly become $15.

Hoyt's carousel is the worst cinema complex in Perth even for $10 I'd still choose readings over them any day. Better seats and sound at readings also, carousel smells like someone pi$$Ed themselves in there.

    • Agree. We did the gold class at carousel once. You pay a premium to basically sit at the back of the pleb cinema, smells like shit and then you keep having to move your legs every time someone walks past. When speaking to the staff they knew how shit it was, mentioned how people would steal alcohol from the bar and how they had to stop all sorts of other self serve things and benefits of gold class due to shit people coming all the time. I dunno man that place is ghetto. Reading is good though

      • I haven't been there's for a coupe of years now but reading has always been pleasant for me. Does anyone remember the dead rat they found at carousel years back haha

In Gold class, they have actually had rodents scurrying around.

        • @voteoften:
Was gonna ask if this was the cinema with the rats in gold class 😂

    • I agree. I have only been to Reading Belmont once and it was for a mystery shopping assignment. The staff were fabulous. It actually felt like you were going to an event. It felt quite grand, on a relative basis, compared to Event and Hoyt's in Perth.

      • Love going to this cinema! Agree, great staff but now they have those self serve machines it's even quicker! Cheap tix and cheap combos especially during school hols!

  • Okay cinema for me, not worth going any further especially for this price. Extra $3 per ticket for Extreme screen.

    • $3.50 I think…

I actually prefer Hoyts Carousel to the Event Cinemas in Perth (Innaloo and Morley). I switched to Reading because of their $10 tickets but with Carousel being closer + the $10 tickets I think I will go back now.

The Event at Innaloo is always a mess - dirty seats, filthy bathroom, over crowded, etc. Shame because they used to be a good cinema.

    • Yeah but isn't Event going to move on the top of the shops now cause doesn't Westfield own the land of the current cinema now or is that a rumour?
