5 free GE Low Energy Light Bulbs (City of Sydney)
foundit on 21/02/2008 - 13:02 (www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au)

Sydney residents can pick up 5 free GE light bulbs, in exchange for nominating “Low Energy Supplies & Services” as the receiver of energy abatement credits.

Not sure if this can be used in conjunction with the other offer.

This offer may also be more convenient than waiting for someone to arrive to install the bulbs.

What and why do we have to nominate “Low Energy Supplies & Services”

does it cost anything?

Hi Scotty, can you remove the negative vote? WaywardOne voted negative for HiddenCost, but doesn’t say what hidden cost.

Sorry - after considering it more fully I’d like to retract my negative vote. My argument was something like this:
It is only free because a private company gets paid for the carbon emissions saved by installing these light bulbs. Of course the money comes from taxes and hence it is not really “free” — but merely the cost is hidden.
