Long time bargainer, first time poster;

Similar to this deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323141

However, using a Mexican VPN, it came to one-off payment of USD $99!! Not sure if there's a sale on, as with no VPN it still comes up at USD $199.

Works out to be AU $125.89 using 28 Degrees Mastercard.

Cheers

    and I already paid the full $279 a week ago - yay……

Worth having if you are a fan of NFL. Cant speak to Mexican VPN. But the gamepass itself gives access to more than just the games. There is others NFL created that you can stream.
Good morning Football (Mon-Fri) at 9pm AEST is a fun show and can be watched up to 2 days later on replay

only down side - there is no Apple app available in Australia currently. So I cant stream on my Apple TV. works on Android still and PC.

  • This absolutely kills me having forgotten to cancel the automatic renewal… $250 AUD I got it for. boo!

    Great find OP!

  • Can you continue to use the service if you cancel mid-season to avoid the automatic renewal or do you need to remember to cancel after the superbowl?

    • yeh - and it works till the original agreed end date - July 31, 2018. - I did that last year for 2016/17

Just modify your payment method to not renew once payed for this year

      • This was in the email I received upon signing up;

        Auto Renewal:
Your subscription will automatically renew on approximately August 1 of the next year at the current year's full season rate (plus any applicable taxes). You may cancel your auto renewal at any time prior to the start of next season by singing in here, and visiting the ‘My Subscriptions’ section under your ‘My Account’ page.

  • To anyone who has recently signed up, you do get 7 days to cancel renewed subscription (14 days if auto renewed). Mine auto renewed at start of season and I just emailed support to cancel without issue so I could take advantage of the better deal.

Trying to signup to this deal using IP Vanish and Mexican server it comes up for $199 USD for me ?

  • I'm a little confused.
I just want to nfl.com and clocked on Game Pass (no VPN) and it';s showing USD$99 of me.
Is this the full shebang, or just for pre-season?

    • please post a link to the exact page

      • It was this link: https://gamepass.nfl.com/packages?redirected=true&icampaign=…

bu at the bottom it says "USA only": "NFL Game Pass does not include live regular season, playoff, or Super Bowl game broadcasts. Access to these games is available within NFL Game Pass on an on-demand basis in the NFL Game Pass archives. Audio feeds may be subject to availability. 2009-2011 games are temporarily unavailable. NFL Game Pass is only available to users within the United States, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths (including American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands)."

Don;t know why it think I'm browsing from the USA with no VPN and DNS.

        • "Game Pass is only available to users located outside the United States"
If you are within the US you can't get this service (it's for international viewers)

        • @1stOzBarginer: Dunno my browser is saying "NFL Game Pass is only available to users within the United States"

        • @shavi:
On the link you posted, in the footer I see
          "
Certain restrictions apply. NFL Game Pass is only available to users located outside the United States, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths, Canada and European countries listed here. Additional blackout restrictions may apply. Availability of HD-quality video is subject to device internet-connection speed and to the system requirements for streaming content at higher bitrates. What/where are you seeing?

        • @1stOzBarginer: Using the link I posted above I got the "USA only" footer I pasted. Using the link by the OP I get AUD$279 and the "outside of USA only" footer.

Strange that my browser defaulted to the USA version.

          Cheers for the help :)

        • @shavi:
sometimes it is not just your ip address but your browser info that determines where sites think you are.

  • Using a variety of free VPN programs, most recently tunnelbear and zenvpn, I cannot get it to display at US$99, even though all IP address checks say I am in Mexico. Has anyone got this to work?

It's always coming up as US$199 for me.

I cannot find a free VPN with Costa Rica or Columbia as a node.

Edit: India is AU$174.99 and ZenVPN free 24 hour trial connects there.

  • I can't get anything other than $3600 Mexican peso's ($AU256)

    • It was basically in place of the blue box that says "Start free trial", it said "US99.99" instead, so I clicked on that. Having issues actually watching any games though, might be a bit of a delay between signing up/paying for, and actually being able to use the subscription. Hopefully it's not due to location checks or anything similar!

      • Wondering if your Mexican VPN was actually going through the USA and you've been signed up to the domestic version which won't let you watch live games? Hopefully not n you just got a good deal.

        • This is what I think happened, as I tested a USA server and the non-international rate (with many blackouts) is US$99. I also hope now for the OP.

        • I think you're right; I was getting the $199 USD price with my Mexico VPN, and only got $99 with the USA VPN (which was the local pass that excludes blackout games)

        • Yeah, you could be right. I've had no joy viewing anything yet. Raised a ticket with game pass help, worst case I'll refund the 99 and sign up via India VPN. Hopefully doesn't get my account flagged or something. The risks of going for a bargain! I'll update the thread with any progress!

        • @Bob129:
Yeah, Mexican VPN must have routed thru US or was close enough to it, and NFL was offering me the domestic pass, which only shows limited games, etc.
Got a refund by raising a ticket with Game pass support.
Now to try my luck with VPN again for a country outside of US!

Marked the deal as expired too.
Looks like India could be the best price now

  • I am actually in Mexico (no VPN needed) and the price shows $199 USD. Earlier today I set my VPN to India it is $125 USD and I paid this. I was looking yesterday and VPN set to Colombia also gives this price.

    • I was in Lebanon a week ago and thought I would check the price there and it came up to $125 USD as well so I promptly purchased it. Ridiculous how they up the price for the bigger markets like Australia and UK.

  • +4

Once paid for via VPN do you need to watch through VPN or not?

    • Not according to the previous deal linked in the OP.
      And it seems logical.

  • Doesn't seem to work for me, either.

    • -1

Same, I don't understand why they call it 'football' when they don't kick it? Shouldn't it be called 'throwball'? Then there's how Yanks call themselves 'world champions' for sports that they only play. Not even Victorians would try to claim winning the AFL grand final makes that team 'world champions'. That doesn't even start to address how long a game takes, how unwatchable & dull it is…..oh I just realised you were talking about the deal and not how god-awful the N"F"L is.

Given that this deal seems not to be accurate - Which country does provide the cheapest NFL signup option?

  • I can confirm using ZENVPN to redirect to India brings the game pass down to US$124.99, which converts to AU$156.
Make sure you use 28 Degrees card or similar to pay in US $, because the NFLs conversion to AU$ brings it to $175!

  • Wondering if anyone can help. Signed up using VPN for the US$99,Transaction went through, received the email but i still cant access gamepass
Looking at my NFL account the transaction shows but there's no subscriptions. I have submitted a help request

    • I had the same issue. Turns out the US$99 deal was for a domestic version of gamepass that required subscription to a US cable company or similar. I had to raise a ticket for a refund, once refunded, I used a VPN to India and got the proper NFL Game Pass subscription for US$124.99.
I think Mexico must have some cable company/streaming companies that overlap into the US, so that offer was for their customers

      • thanks mate
