EaseUS ToDo Backup Home w/ Lifetime Upgrades AUD$8.27 (was AUD$87.99)

1190
ENDW-74XD

Hey all,

Wanted a nice backup solution and I know EaseUS are a decent company. Found a coupon code supposedly for 50% off but when I put it in it dropped the price from $87.99 to $8.27. Thought I was crazy at first but I have the invoice and product code to prove it. I've tested it a few different ways and it appears to only work if you go through checkout in this certain way (don't just Google EaseUS and try finding the product on their page, use the link provided).

Steps;
1. Use the todo-backup.com link to access the site
2. Highlight the "learn more" banner and then click "Buy Now" underneath (make sure the banner is still on the home version and hasn't scrolled to business version or another software)
3. Click the "For Free Lifetime Upgrade" option (will say $59.00)
4. Enter the coupon code "ENDW-74XD" and the price should drop to AUD$8.27
5. Voila! You've just saved about 90% on licenced backup software w/ lifetime upgrades

EDIT: It appears some people are having issues. Try launching in incognito mode and make sure you're not using a VPN (or use an Aussie one) as I believe it depends on being in Aus.

    code not valid for me

    • +2

Did you follow the instructions? Working fine for all others.

      • yes, multiple times, at step 3 the price shows $65.95 not $59.00, its frustrating me to no end lol

        • +1

Try another browser or computer and make sure you're not using a VPN so it knows you're in Aus.

@potplanty: Phuzz's suggestion below worked! I just opened in Incognito mode

  • Worked for me - thanks!

  • Thanks!

  • Worked here. Thanks

  • Worked here, take an upvote OP !

  • Worked for me - note: if you need to buy multiple copies you'll need to buy them separately to get the discount

  • worked for me too AUD 8.17 :-)
    Thank you

  • Is this the recovery software or just the backup?

    • +2

Just the backup software. Recovery is another beast altogether.

Edit: Just tested with recovery and it appears impossible as at checkout it automatically shows dropped price from AU$131.99 to AU$109.99 meaning a coupon can't be entered.

      • A backup that doesn't allow recovery is worse than useless…

        • +9

The backup itself obviously has recovery. They sell another product though that specialises in recovery of lost/corrupted data.

        • +8

I think you mean 'restore' rather than 'recovery'

@R-Man: Damn technicalities. I just copy all my shit with rsync and carry it to a different suburb.

        • +9

@abb: You need to get with the times. We now have a sewer system that can carry your shit to a different suburb.

          (sorry…)

        • +2

@eug: The recovery process is way too messy.

        • I have used this software for cloning my HDD to SSD to transfer genuine OS and all my content. It was so easy and worth buying it for under $10.

  • +2

Thanks OP. I got charged $8.17, 10cents cheaper.

Worked, had to launch Chrome in Incognito mode for some reason for it to work.

    • thanks, that got it to work!!

  • no luck in Chrome even in incognito but IE worked

  • I using an iPad, the code will not work for me, is also showing $65.95 not $59.00 for the lifetime.

Just tried a app called Brave(like internet explorer), and it worked fine, looked completely different to safari

    • Brave is based on Chrome with extra privacy features

Bought it but not sure if i will use it or not lol

  • WHy bother buying lifetime upgrades when they could be gone in a few years.

    • +1

They've been around for quite a while, their software is really well known.

      • -1

Perhaps but in software things change so quickly, 5 years is a lifetime, and a lifetime in software is an enternity. Ju st thnk how many things have come and gone in the past 10 years.

        • +1

          I mean…they've been around since 2004 so…

        • +4

I've used them for well over 5 years, I suppose I've been using them for more than a lifetime then?

        • -5

          @BradleyDS2:

Good luck with the next lifetime warranty deal for Nokia phones, or lifetime VPN access or lifetime dns..

        • +2

          @ninetyNineCents: For $8 isn't 5 years enough?

        • +1

@ninetyNineCents: Big difference between lifetime version of something that's a subscription model vs lifetime version of a one-off purchase.

        • -1

          @potplanty:

Nonsense, there is no difference, what im trying to say is forget the lifetime guarantee and just consider whether its value for a shorter timespan of five years. If you get more than that, then you gained a bonus but dont count on it.

        • +1

@ninetyNineCents: Of course there is. Don't be ridiculous. Subscription model means you're always getting the same thing but charged annually/monthly/whatever. If I need to upgrade to a new version of this software (say, to support a new OS that is released or to gain a new feature) I'd need to purchase an entirely new licence and more than likely at the full price too.

        • +1

Great point - who wants to spend $8 on software that might only last 5-10 years? #OzBlogic

        • -1

          @Mic Cullen:

You like the others missed the point about companies making exaggerated claims.

        • +3

@ninetyNineCents: No, I'm just applying some logic and not automatically bitching about things.

    • +6

WHy bother buying lifetime upgrades when they could be gone in a few years.

[September 2024, after using the software many times over the past 7 years]

Damnit, Easeus shut down. I should have used that $8.27 on two cups of coffee in 2017.

$8.27 is cheap for software like this, even if it didn't come with lifetime upgrades.

  • +4

Purchased with an ABN (business billing details) and I managed to get it even cheaper: AU$7.43

  • Not working in Chrome, IE or Edge browsers. Worked for me in Firefox.

  • does it work for MAC?

    • +1

Unfortunately not. There's another version for Mac.

    • +1

yeah looks like they've made this

    • +1

It took me a little while to work out but rclone via Homebrew is fantastic on Mac. Well worth the effort learning it. rclone now serves as my main backup, both locally and to the cloud with daily and weekly scripts.

  • +1

Free version looks to have everything that I need.

  • +1

Great bargain, especially with Crashplan shutting down their home version!

  • +2

    TimeMachine for Mac users.

  • Worked for me. Bought with an ABN for $7.43 thanks to nkahoang's comment above.

  • Thanks OP, bought one. Code didn't work from my office but did work just fine on my phone (Virgin Mobile internet).

  • How does this compare to Reflect?

    • Well for starters Reflect Workstation is USD$75 per licence.

  • +2

Thanks, Got charged $8.17, not $8.27. wow, I can now buy some other things with savings.

  • I don't think I can trust software from a website that's written in Chinglish.

    • +2

How about software from a world renowned company that has been around since 2004?

      • -1

I literally just googled "is EaseUS safe" and it's rated with 1 star reviews… wtf?

        • +3

TrustPilot is the Yelp of online business reviews. They charge for promotion of a company and will extort them with threats of bad reviews. Hell, TrustPilot themselves have a 1.4 star review on reviews.io and there have been several news articles showing how bullshit they are.

        • @potplanty: is todo-backup.com their legit site? how did you get to that website from easeus.com? I read online that easeus has some iffy sites spreading malwares

        • @tofusana: todo-backup is their dedicated site for their backup software as it's their most prolific. All the other software they just cram onto the main site.

      • -1

Not sure but my Avast Premium blocked a threat while I installed the free version a few mins ago before I pulled the trigger, bugger.

      • You've mentioned that several times, even though it's actually 2005. However, the world renowned Mafia has been around since the 1920's and I wouldn't trust them either.

        • +4

Don't get it then, and just move right along. You're totally entitled to your opinion, and I can understand why you might have reservations because it's written in Chinglish. The rest of us who have been using their software happily will just continue on doing so. I personally don't think English is a prerequisite for writing good software. If it wasn't for the positive comments I've read on forums, I probably wouldn't have tried it myself.

        • +1

@eug: Exactly. If I hadn't used their live backup disk before I wouldn't have even thought to look at EaseUS for a backup solution too.

        • @eug: Thanks, and good luck with it. Looks like it's working out fine for you guys, so may it ever be thus.

        • @eug: So true! Android and Windows 10 are full of Chinglish, and I've even noticed a couple of shockers in OS X over the years. I've used a few EaseUS apps over the years and while there's the occasional mis-spelling or poorly phrased dialogue box, none of it has caused issues or confusion. I've been very happy with their software and recommended it to a couple of clients who didn't mind paying a reasonable amount for EASY GUI vs free command-line tools or other paid GUI tools that were sometimes far more complicated to set up.

    • +2

I've been using their free version on all my PCs and laptops for >5 years now. Never had an issue and it's gotten my out of the sh!t on a number of occasions.

  • Thanks OP, purchased!

  • +2

Don't even know what it is but just bought it cos bargain!

  • Thanks OP, I had the v8 of todo backup workstation a long time ago and no updates. This will be a good purchase to replace my old version.

  • Totally new to this stuff.
Should I be looking at a System Backup or File Backup or both and setting them on a regular schedule?
Any other tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    • What exactly do you want to backup? Your entire computer? Certain files? Certain disks?

    • +2

System backup actually backs up your entire boot drive, which means you will have a copy of your entire C:\ drive waiting to be restored if your whole drive goes down, or you need to swap out the drive.

File backup does not backup entire drives, rather it does it either by folder or by file types. e.g you want your Videos and Images to be backed up but not anything else.

      • Ah! Thanks mate.
Yeah, wanting to make sure I have something to fall back to if my C drive dies.
Will Google the rest of it now.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  • Thanks OP. I needed to download and install Pale Moon (browser) to get the original $59 price. Incognito / Private Browsing in other browsers kept getting me to a page that had a higher initial price (and where the code would not work).

  • Anyone know how much storage space you get?

    • +3

Unlimited! You just have to keep buying hard drives as you run out.

    • +4

this is computer software, it is not cloud storage.

      • Ahh right, thought it was cloud.

        Thanks all

  • Followed instructions. It worked. Thanks

  • Awesome. Worked for me! Thanks OP

  • Does anyone know if I can back up to a network drive or local only?
