Just in time for xbox one x

  • +3

Is it targeted? I'm not seeing it.

    • I had to log in to my American Express account and it was there, under "Offers". I agree, it does not come up on the linked page so perhaps you have to be logged in.

      • Do you have a bank issued Amex card (eg: Westpac)? Or direct from American Express? I think they have different offers.

        • +1

          Amex Issued - not bank

  • -3

Shame their laptops are ridiculously overpriced and not as good as Dell or HP

    • +1

      Not sure that I agree.

    • Why is it a shame? There is the same offer available for HP if that's your preference.

  • Damn, just a shame this offer wasn't available when cashrewards had their 5.50% promotion running on XBOX hardware purchases. Still, $100 discount isn't anything to sniff at. Is there anyway of knowing that you will definitely get the $100 back after you made the order (I've already accepted the offer under my AMEX account).

    • Amex has never failed me so far. Assume it'll work and then chase them up if it doesn't.

    • but cashrewards is still showing 5.5% off at MS store right now?

edit: nevermind, just checked T&C and it says 1.60% for xbox console and accessories

  • Can't see it on offers, I go to login and it needs me to sign up again, then when I put my card details in it says technical issues. Great.

  • Got it on Amex Velocity Platinum via Amex app - thanks OP!

  • Also I'm guessing that if you're purchasing the XBOX One X, Microsoft won't actually charge your card until it actually ships which is on the 6/11/2017. However as long as you save the offer to your card (as that is limited to the first 10,000 cards that save the offer) then you should be fine. Just ordered, thanks for the heads up! Time to sell my XBOX One S now.

    • On the off chance 10,000 use this offer prior to release, you may miss out. But very unlikely.

      • +2

First 10k cards to save offer, not to redeem offer. Once you save it, itโ€™s yours to use up to the expiry date ๐Ÿ‘

        • Yep was just about to respond to tightm8 with that - cheers.

        • Cheers, assumed it was 10,000 uses not registered.

  • targeted.

  • Anyone have a manual link to try?

  • I have a AMEX issued card, had to login to my account to see it and then could save it to card.

  • Got it on AMEX Essential. Thanks

  • Got it on Qantas Amex had to use the app to find it.

just 100 so stingy make it 200 with minimum 1000 and i'll get surface

    • +1

      • -1

        hmm…. suddenly i remember i have 2 main and 2 suppl.
        cheers

edit: yup, its on my main. how to check i have the offer on the supplementary card? (amex issued)

      • +1

Can you split payment over multiple cards?

        • should be in store

  • When does Xbox One X come out.?? Please donโ€™t say after 13th November…..

    • +1

      November 7th :)

      • +1

        Awesome. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • but MS Store may charge/ship on 6th because it says release date 6/11/2017 in MS Store

  • I think this only applies to amex issued… maybe update OP?

    • no it doesn't got it on my DJ Amex card too

      • +1

        DJs AMEX is AMEX-issued.

        • oops had friday brain fart, you're right.

  • +1

Imagine Microsoft jack the price of Xb1 X by $100 =P

  • I believe the cheapest surface is $999 so if you use two Amex cards. You could get it for $800

    • You'll have to buy something for $1 too.
When I was getting Harvey Normal to price-match a PS4 to $299 via live-chat, they agreed to $299, but couldn't raise it up to $300 for me lol. Had to buy a pillow for $5 to get the $100 amex credit

    • Can you post the link? Cheapest I can find is $1199. Did they just jack up the price?

    • +1

How does it work using two AmEx cards at the checkout? Does the online store accept slip payment?

  • -1

I keep getting this: We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and could not process your request. Please wait 15 minutes and try again. Or please contact Customer Services for immediate assistance. We apologise for any inconvenience.

    • -1

then stop trying and just call customer service

  • Would it work to buy $500 of xbox live credit?

  • Bing purchases.

    Hahahahaha

  • Reading a lot of -ve comments re XB1 X and how it is overpriced for the 'upgrade' over a XB1 S, I have a ~$2k computer with a 1080ti, re considering.

    • xbonex is a worthy upgrade over the standard and underpowered xbone (that couldn't even compete in sales or performance with standard PS4) and I'm a PS4 user.

      • Not a serious video game player but already started to consider a changeout of my PS3 for a new console.. Any suggestions if to go for PS4 or Xbox OneX?

        • +1

If you were a serious gamer then I'd suggest the PS4 Pro because of the larger exclusive title library that's on the PS4 platform.

I play heaps of games and the Sony offers me with way more inciting exclusive titles. But I'm still getting the xbonex because of this discount even though I'd only play UHD bluray movies on it initially and wait for some interesting titles that may/will come out at a later date.

        • +1

@FeZZa21: It helps heaps, much appreciated! (Cannot deny with this AmEx offer it is a good buy.)

        • +1

You can maybe team up with a mate and get the Xb1 S (if it goes on discount) and score a set for ~$200 each + a controller, I think that would be ideal.

        • @tightm8: That's genius.. :0)

  • Other than Xbox OneX, what else would you buy off Microsoft site?

    • +1

      Windows ME

    • Lumia 950, which has the best future mobile platform.

  • Can someone please post a manual enrolment link?

  • Anyone got a link to the actual deal? It isn't showing up for me on the Amex site

  • This seems targeted - I don't have it.

edit: until I see that I have already added this offer sometime ago :(

  • Did this expire?

  • Not showing up on Amex Essential when logged in and looking at offers. Do only some people get it at random?

  • anyone interested in this offer and want to get xbox X in Sydney CBD store can PM me, i have this offer on my card but not planning to use it

  • I have this offer and might not be using. If anyone needs let me know

  • Cash rewards 5% on Xbox today

  • Anyone not get the $100 offer credit placed on their additional cards?
