[XB1] Xbox Live Gold 12 Months $53 Via Mobile Browser (Stackable) @ Microsoft Store Australia

251

Following on from Shad's deal for xbox live through the NZ site, I found xbox live for $53 from Microsoft Australia site on my phone, could not replicate on computer browser in edge or firefox, which shows up as $79.95

stackable, added 2 years worth at $53 each and then discontinued auto renewal at $79.95

cashrewards discount of $9 or $10.40 (both showed up for me) brings total to $44

Showing as full price on IOS browser unfortuntely.

  • see if it works in chrome or firefox

  • Where are you seeing the deal? Your link takes me to a landing page saying that you can get 1 month for $1 and then when you press join Xbox live that $1 month is the only discounted choice.

  • when I click on JOIN TODAY right down the very bottom of https://www.xbox.com/en-AU/live/gold it takes me to a page that I can select 1 month, 3 months or 12 months

  • Just tried in Chrome browser and it is $79.95 for me.

    • Ditto, on my mobile.

    • Same for me, chrome on mobile

  • ok weird still showing as $53 for me if I follow the same process

    • Would be good if you could specify what phone and browser

  • LG G6, chrome and firefox

  • maybe I glitched it as I nearly purchased live via the NZ deal but at the payment point I skipped to check the AU price

  • I just did a search this has happened before…………
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/317220

    • Doesnt work on Chrome mobile android in incognito :(
      Would be good though :)

      • damn could be targeted I guess

  • could be targeted

  • But why are Australians having to pay more than New Zealanders?

What are we paying extra for?

Worked for me. - thanks OP.

    My process:

    1. Open Chrome on mobile (I was on iPhone) or Chrome on desktop (I was on Mac) and open new incognito tab - open https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/p/xbox-live-gold/cfq7t… - price shows as $79.95
    2. On mobile, hit top left menu button and sign in OR on desktop, click sign in on top right.
    3. Price now shows as $53.
    • top work!!!!!!
hopefully other people can do it too

    • Do you already have a subscription?

      • Yes. Actually just ran out over the weekend so used the $1 deal yesterday to extend it for a month.

    • Didnt work for me on any browser

      worked for me, thanks

    • I can confirm this works on Desktop Opera Private and Desktop Edge InPrivate. My Xbox Live Gold subscription was due to end on 17 Dec, now has been extended to 22 Dec. 2018

    • This worked for me..
      Chrome in Incognito mode
Copy the link from Stix's post
      $53 option appeared
the only thing to be wary of is they auto subscribe you in future years for 79.
Mi Live is due to expire in Mid Jan..
      Merry Christmas all!

  • Can Xbox Live Gold subscription still be stacked up to 36 months (3 years)?

  • I think this criteria for microsoft offering this deal is that the account must be:
    (1) on a non-prepaid subscription
    (2) the subcription is set to expire in the next 2 weeks or has expired in the last 2 weeks.

My pre-paid subscription ends 6th December, that's 15 days, let's see what happens tomorrow as currently I can only get $79.95 to show after trying various mobile and desktop options

  • Got it as well, incognito on mobile - just logged in and there it was!

  • Does this provide a code you can use at a later date or can you purchase as gift to get a code and use on your account at a later date?

    • Has the option to gift, no idea what that offers..

      • Gifting allows you to give a game or, in this case, a subscription to someone else.

  • so definitely worse offering than what the new Zealanders got - usual oz Microsoft gouging.

  • I can only get 79.95 offer, my current subscription expires in 4 days… :(
