Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan 1 Year $139 @ JB Hi-Fi (Digital Download)

170

I believe that the pricing on Adobe Creative Cloud plans went up this year with the Netflix tax, but it looks like JB is still selling codes for $139. Currently showing at ~$170 through Adobe and $179 through Officeworks (indicating that the JB price may be going up soon).

Adobe Creative Cloud is a joke.

    • +1, But this begs the question, what are the best alternatives?

I’m patiently awaiting an Affinity DAM

I'm enjoying hitfilm instead of premiere and after effects, mainly inkscape instead of illustrator but also started playing with Affinity designer. Haven't gone past gimp for Photoshop yet.

      • Arrr.

      • I use ON1 Photo RAW 2018 (and previous versions) but I am a fairly basic user, although it provides what I would use out of the Adobe CC Photography level in terms of a Photoshop/Lightroom alternative. Seems to have pretty good support, covers licencing for 5 computers (Windows or Mac), and has a perpetual licence for about USD100 at the moment. YMMV but worth a look if you aren't keen on the new Adobe model.

        • I've heard good things about On1 PhotoRAW from someone working in digital media on the Hitfilm forums.

If you are a student you can get if for free (NSW anyway, possibly other states): https://nsw-students.onthehub.com/WebStore/OfferingDetails.a…

Teachers (NSW) is $12.25 for 1 year. https://doe-nsw.onthehub.com/WebStore/OfferingDetails.aspx?o…

Just need to register and verify with valid edu email address

Thanks for this mate… Didn't know it existed.
$12.99 for students and teachers in Vic.
Looks like my son will be getting a subscription.

    • Currently paying the ~$12 1yr license as university teaching staff. It's the best.

Really expensive for 1 year. Surely there are cheaper options?

    • You can crack the whole Adobe CC series and use all of them for free?

  • If you have a existing subscription, I'm not sure there is a way to "redeem" this as a code?

I can't see anything in the Adobe console - any know more?

Edit: Google has suggested it's this: https://creative.adobe.com/redeem (and I can see some support posts suggesting it just adds "time" to your existing account)… Definitely worth it if you're already paying monthly then

Had same question. It would appear your subscription "stacks", if these B&H Q&A responses are to go by:
      https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1109799-REG/adobe_652…

So yes, it would seem you could extend your sub with this.

    • +1

My confirmation email had a link to creative.adobe.com/redeem and allowed me to enter the code there, although my existing subscription had just lapsed.

      • +1

Just confirming - it does work on existing subscriptions - you essentially just get a new end date in Dec 2018.

  • In case anyone is wondering it’s a saving of $32.47 a year.
(Compared this against my photography plan)

  • Worked perfect, thanks!!

You can buy lightroom outright for $205: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/software/adobe/a…

This is a bit more expensive, but at least you don't have to renew each year.

Unless you really want to doctor the photo's, lightroom is all you need.

    • +2

Just keep in mind the two versions are not the same in terms of features, such as the dehaze tool for example. Lightroom CC also gets more regular updates, including new camera support and lens profiles, where as 6 doesn't.

  • Is this sold out now?

    • Looks that way.

Link goes nowhere. Search on the website doesn't bring anything up.

  • Waiting for a good deal on Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 or 2018. Prefer to pay a once off rather than a subscription.

  • If anybody is looking for all apps as a deal, I found a ~40% off one and posted it here:
