READ THIS FIRST.
This is a rather complicated process to obtain this software but it worked for me.

1/Fill in your details on the link page including your email. You'll receive email with download link and license key from acdsee.
2/Download and install it, open the software and get welcome prompt. Pick "Offline registration" and enter your license key.
3/Now the next prompt got both Request code as well as INSTRUCTION to obtain valid offline application unlock code.
4/Sign up adc.id at https://acdid.acdsee.com/login and verify your email.
5/Then Login adc.id and go to "My Account". On the right side quick link, click "Offline Application Unlock Code" and then enter both the Request code and license key.
6/Finally you get this unique unlock code to put into software welcome prompt and open it.

Not sure how long this giveaway will last.

I have tried Screen recording so far and worked well so far.

      The app doesn't support the higher DPI of the Surface book. Is there a way around it?

    Acdsee software is horrible. It hijacks some of the menus in windows 10 such as when you right click on a file and go to open with. The first option to select will be the acdsee software even for a file it has nothing to do with. And there is no simple fix to remove it, and the company just keep saying they will put it in the suggestions box for the developers. Lots of nagging ad pop ups too. I had the paid ultimate 8. In the end uninstalled it, as it got too unbearable. Lots of complaints about it on the net.

        The photo editing and browsing/organising software is great. But just couldn't the spam and hijacking. Couldn't believe the company's reluctance to issue a fix to remove the "features". Using free Adobe photo organiser now and Corel.

          Not doubting you but I'm not seeing anything in the context menu from Acdsee. Not seeing any nagging ads or popups either. Maybe you had a trial version or an older version which they've fixed

          @Rockhard: No I had the paid version of Ultimate 8 which I got on sale for US$49. Here is what tech support messaged me "unfortunately you cannot remove ACDSee from Windows explorer
          However, I have forwarded the desire for this product to the Design Team as a Feature Request, so that they are aware of what the customers would like in the program."

    Has anyone finished a simple project? No video produced!
    Ps: Not able to change the target folder. No video is found anywhere.
    Ps: OK, rendered as crap. uninstalled and negged as a warning.

      Not sure while youre negging this, it would seem to be a valid freebie. Perhaps it may not be worth spending money on in your opinion, but definitely and invalid neg IMO

    why do you do this through 'offline registration' rather than just putting your email and activation code straight in?
