    Where’s the bargain?

    • +2

      It’s 20% off

The website says "This board is perfect for anyone looking for a way to commute", but this would be illegal unless you work at home. 2kW motor is illegal everywhere in Australia other than on private property.

    • Seriously?

      Party pooper.

Who the F is gonna check? You need to ease up and RELAX

People can do whatever they want. But I don't want any Ozbargainers to lose their licence or cop a huge fine. Plus, if there is an accident, and you were riding an illegal vehicle, there would be huge consequences.

Yes that is true, there is an esk8 community here in Sydney that does ride on weekends. It’s a risk, but as a general rule if you’re being sensible and safe there isn’t too much to worry about.

  • And 4c more expensive for Melbourne pickup: https://www.twelveboardstore.com.au/catalogue/848/boosted-ge…

  • …35kmh motorised skateboard…? what could possibly wrong?

    • +1

You can drive a car at 200kmph too.

They are perfectly safe if you ride properly.

      lol skateboarding is inherently dangerous.
downhill skaters go even faster on their non-motorised boards; 35kph is nothing.

As much as I would love one, VicRoads is clear on the topic:

You are not allowed to use motorised skateboards, roller skates or roller blades on public roads, footpaths or nature strips. But, you can use these on private property.
