    Hi jack.

      Any relation to Price Jack?

      • +2

        Jack lives here!

        Any relation to Price Jack?

He's actually 2nd cousin of Jack Schidt and lots of people know Jack Schidt :)

    • Yes, it's a good idea to carry a high lift jack when out 4WD.

    • +4

      Hey.

      • Where's j1ll?

        • +2

          Last time I checked… up a hill.

    • Don't let go Jack.

  • +6

Lots of great buys from ozplaza. I just hope Jill's brother doesn't show up.

    • +1

      Better off than up!

    • +1

Does it still work buy now pay when offer is here?

Beware of Ozplaza mate. They are essentially New Aim Pty Ltd trading on various names including Ozplaza. There guys sell really bad quality products, and are very shifty when approached by customers for after sales support. They have really bad reputations online and have got into trouble with ACCC and Fair Trading in many cases. Check out these online resource.

      • Bought a $90 caravan cover last year that had one little strap fray due to being in the sun. I didn't expect much but sent an email to Ozplaza with a photo. They sent me $20 partial refund within the week. Not a shifty move in sight.

and are known to be very shifty when approached by customers

        FTFY

      • All those posts are from 2012 - 2014…all written in broken English…ACCC action relates to one product in 2014…sounds to me like someone is holding a grudge.

  • I came here just for the price jacking comments :O

    • I came here to read the neg comments. Surprised no one neg…

    • How does it feel when no one upvoted your price jacking comment ;P

      • Devastated mate, didn't realize I was that unfunny

  • No computer alliance!

  • This doesn't look to be an electronic sale

  • keen for some 4x4 deals!

    • cheaper elsewhere, even after 20% off

      • Care to share? I need awning … Bad

i always wondered why anyone puts up these ridiculously priced items that are never going to be bought by anyone unless there is a CC scam of some sort.

      • +3

usually done when seller has no stock - easier to adjust price than remove + relist

      • +1

A few different reasons. Some are just test listing's to experiment with something. So they have a huge price so no one buys it. Some sellers do it when they have little stock left to discourage anyone buying so that the listing isn't taken down when quantity runs out (to maintain its item rank in the search results)

        • Also they are at top of listing if one searches prices from high to lowest price

      • +1

I believe it's to keep the listing up while they're waiting for stock to come in.

Edit: Oops, should've refreshed the page.

      • +1

It is primarily to manipulate the search results and rankings. It is a sign of a dishonest and/or lazy seller. Having said that, eBay is aware of it, and chooses to ignore the practice.

    No computer alliance, no deal.

    • WE WANT COMPUTER ALLIANCE! Seriously ready to pull trigger on certain laptop and if they don't jack then 20% would seal the deal..

      • Computer Alliance don't do price jacking from the last time they decided to participate in the 20% deal. I support them even when they aren't on sale! Customer service is good!

NB: not associated with them in any way just find them honest and good to deal with.

    • Irrelevant comment is irrelevant.

    • OMG I never believed in conspiracies until I read this!

  • +2

20% off stores that have 100% off nothing I need ;) that's how I will save $ for sure.

    • +7

Link to the 100% off deals?

      • +1

        Depends, what don't you need?

    • Welcome to Ozbargain

  • +7

Zzz atelier are in the sale - they don't price jack and their mattress prices are already insanely low for really comfy mattresses.

    Highly recommended from me.

    • +1

Got a mattress from them and pretty happy too.

      • I've been on the fence but 20% off is a good enough reason to jump in.

        • jump on*
          its a mattress.. ;-p

      • Which model did you get? looking for one atm, Thanks.

    • Yep, this is going to be my third mattress through them.

    • +1

Anyone know how they work on bad backs? Lower back pain is real…

      • +1

I'd say try stretching your hips and psoas.

    • Hiya, do you mind saying what model mattress you bought? I'm in the market and looking to this sale for a memory/latex queen size.

  • any mi robot vacuum on 20% off?

  • I need a garage door opener,
Look at the options from eGarage Systems,
See 90 different options for door openers,
    unable to tell the difference,
    walks away shaking head.

Does anyone have any thoughts on garage roller doors? (http://stores.ebay.com.au/e-garage-systems/Roller-Door-Opene…)

    • Depends what you're after. I went for the Merlin however it was one that uses the myq setup to connect to your phone. (I couldn't see it in the ebay store) Much smoother and quieter than my old one that gave in recently.
B&D are also very good FWIW.

      • Thanks. I'm all into the Home Automation craze, so might look into that one too.

  • -2

Upvoted even though the prices will be jacked. Just following the OzBargain tradition

    • just curious, is it legal to do this? Any implication from ACCC?

      • Dunno, but the implications on what I did is neg votes :)

    • +1

Not all sellers jack their prices. Some do. What you can do is to check their sales history. There is a link in all listings which will show you all previous sales. If the current price is higher than recent prices, this means the seller jacks up price.

      • PC Byte and FUTU online price jack ALWAYS

  • a little less exciting selection of stores this time.

  • Can anyone vouch for the petrol lawn mowers? Mine has just died am I better off going to bunnings? $310 vs $500.

    • I bought a Masport AL contractor series for almost $700 probably 6 years ago and I occasionally (twice to date) do an oil change. Never had an issue and starts first time.

Be careful though the cheaper B&S and Honda engines are pretty exactly that - cheap! However, if you get 3 year warranty and it's $310 just get it.

I have learned many lessons from buying cheap!

      • Only 1 Year 'Warranty' took the risk and got the Self Propelled 21" 220cc mower for $312 has good reviews so hope it lasts a long time for my 2 acre patch. This one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PowerBlade-Lawn-Mower-Self-Prope…

        • +1

That looks like a sweet ride! I am going to have to trade mine in - no stubble holder!!

        • +1

          bonus stubby holder

          lol

        • Love the discharge options.

  • 100+ votes not a single bargain yet to be had, Ozbargain tings

  • Any recommendations on ergonomic mesh chairs? Temple Webster looks like they have some nice ones but I'm unable to try them out before purchase

    • I’m wondering the same. The Ergohuman looks and sounds good to me. I use Aeron’s at work and they’re ok, I’m going to go into a store this week and try out an Ergohuman and see how they compare.

  • +1

will check it out tomorrow. Thank you!

  • -4

I tried ordering from zoom auto parts australia, it says wrong code Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

    • +3

10:00am in the terms and conditions.

  • cool…gonna grab some 120 LED solar spotlights from oz.plaza

  • I just tried to buy a knife with this code and the code didn't do anything.

    • +1

      Starts @ 10am

      • Oh ok. It looks like it should work already when you see the big "20% off" ad on the item pic. That wasn't there last night.

        • They really must be keen for a sale :)

        • +2

@headphonejack: Or they should also include Specsavers in the deal too :p

  • Bought this for $55.2….not bad. I am not sure the quality of it but limited reviews seems good so far…

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Electric-Breast-Pump-Natural…

  • any toilets suite or vanity you guys can find….

  • +3

Thanks OP. Been waiting for a Zzz atelier code for a while. $60 off the total :)

    • +1

I did the same. Happy days.

    • +1

I ordered 2 mattresses, got $100 off. So happy.

    • +1

Pretty happy with the bed I ordered a few weeks back - on par with some of the mid range beds that go for $1k+ (when on sale). Was about to buy a second one esp for $240ish! Will no doubt buy later in the year as they tend to be that price around Boxing Day.

  • Does anyone have an Ergohuman chair? Temple and Webster have them and I'm tempted to pull the trigger.

  • Chef'n Vibe Dual Salt & Pepper Grinder (RRP $35)

Was looking an another item to qualify for a free shipping and found this. Looks like a steal at $3.16 (excl postage).

    • nice find…how does it even work tho? very confusing design… :P
