Western Digital WDTV Live Media Player $99

80

Was in store today [Greensborough, VIC] and saw Harvey Norman had these down from their RRP of $139 at $99. Cheapest I've seen them on a national scale.

Pity I didn't wait until today to buy mine.

My local HN instead of saying it's cut from $139 they say it's cut from like $239 or something lol…

anyway, it has been available at this price at a few places for a while now (some even got from officeworks for as low as $seventy-something)

  • Cheap but Officeworks normal price is $98

  • man i got one for $165 a couple of months ago and i thought it was a great deal.

  • Check the OW $98 thread. I got mine for $76. A lot of ppl got it for $76 in that thread.

  • I am considering buying one since a few of you are saying it is a good buy at bargain price. But can someone explain to me what this box can do that a $10 HDMI cable connecting your PC to your TV cannot?

    • Far less versatile than a PC but may be more convenient.

    • If your PC is close and is always on then you probably wouldn't need this.

    • Thank you for the comments.
I guess it comes down to the convenience of having a remote control during playback.

      • Not exactly. I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse setup. So I have no interference apart from the concrete walls.

I think this one at HN is the older version.
OW has the more recent one here:
