1570

Saw this at local target and figure its not a bad deal. Second hand 1tb models are still $268 at EB Games.

Not sure if all stores are participating but hope the photo helps.

      • Is UHD Blu ray something you are interested in? XBox One S is still the cheapest UHD blu ray player on the market (I think).

XBox One S is very quiet and runs cool. I don't have a XBox One to compare. You get a newer version of controller. Other benefits:

        • Wireless ac support (XBox One is only up to wireless n according to Google)
        • Built-in IR blaster
        • Bluetooth 4.0 (for use with the newer version of the controller)

There is also HDMI 2.0 (but since it supports 4K video, HDMI 2.0 is a given). No power brick outside (power supply built into the console - so more compact). I would go for XBox One S.

These kinda prices make people selling their console on Gumtree cry.

    • +4

      LOL
Some of those prices are beyond ridiculous.

      $320 for a 10 month old 500 GB XBox1s
      yeah right!

I was going to comment similarly. Gumtree has some great deals/prices and some awful prices also. Many people are trying selling things for like %20 off RRP for used items. When I see stuff like that on gumtree, even if I want that item, I think …. well I can get it on sale for more than that off (maybe 50%) then I have a brand new item with warranty.
The occasional great deal, gotta be quick asf or its gone. Someone was selling an old amp that was same as model used by a few famous musicians, he had like $100 on it, and worth about $800… I thought cos it looked like crap, all dusty and old, sitting in storage, I figured nobody else would have googled the model number and would be not much interest in it. I contacted guy next day, he had a huge amount of interest and so many people tryin to buy it already, 1 guy even wanted to pay freight on big heavy amp interstate.

  • OP, which store is this from? It’s broaden time.. lolz

An extra $10 for $299 gets you 5 games with the console. That's a much better deal.

  • Is everyone sure this even exists because here in WA, every store I visit has the old price of $649.

    Where is this $199.00 special….?

    • FOUND it.

Sorry for my desperate postings here. But you don't get to buy a brand new Xbox for $199 these days.

      Thanks for the posting.

    • Innaloo here in Perth.

It was interesting a PS4 fan boy's comment took a turn and became PC vs XBox One. I understand XBox One owners feel some of the PC gamers comments made in the past are not fair to XBox One. I had an interesting discussion with a PC gamer in another deal (XBox One S). As an owner of XBox One S, XBox One X, PC, and PS4 Pro, I will try to be objective.

Regarding PC gamer's comment / complain about XBox One exclusives are available on PC, the actual main gripe is that Microsoft are not providing any good incentive for PC gamers to get XBox One/X. I can understand that point of view (not everyone is an impulsive buyer like me and just buy consoles because they are cheap / bargains). Their frustration is actually at Microsoft. To a lesser extent, the fact that it makes more sense for them to consider PS4 is not something they are entirely happy about. Some of them are quite frustrated a number of upcoming (XBox One and PC) exclusives got cancelled by Microsoft.

XBox One consoles cost way less compared to a high end gaming PC (PC gamers agree completely). However, at the same time, XBox One owners need to be mindful you get a lot of benefits with PC gaming because you pay more (so you get better CPU, GPU, SSD, mouse, keyboard, controllers, monitors with GSync/FreeSync support, true multi-tasking (not restricted by console OS). Steam is good too. No need to get upset about it. The bottom line is: you pay more you get more. That's why when people try to argue XBox One/S/X being superior with subjective comments, one cannot help being cynical and feel that it might be sour grapes.

You get cost effective gaming with XBox One/S. XBox One X is the most power console right now and it does offer the best console 4K gaming experience. If you care a lot about exclusives and you really like the PS4 exclusives, PS4 can be more attractive to you. You want the flexibility of PC gaming (or you simply want the best graphics, fastest, least restricted gaming platform), then PC gaming is obviously a good choice for you.

At OZB, just look at the deal and decide whether it is worth it. No need to bring PS4 and PC gaming into every single XBox One deal.

I couldn't agree more. The whole XBox/PS4/PC debate is simply tribalism, with any one side unwilling to see from the others' perspectives. Especially when everyone knows the Wii outdoes them all.

  • Doesn't matter if its a std one,s or x.

Just remember on the 18th of April
PANZER DRAGOON ORTA will be releasing on xbox store. (I believe it should be a xbox one enhanced game)

I hope its going to be 9.99

Best shooter all time for any of the xbox gen.

Thats a pretty good deal in my book. I don't have a 4k tv and probably won't invest in one (still getting milage out of a 20009 Samsung plasma) so I don't need the S or X for 4k ability.

I snapped up the 500gb model from Big W when they were clearing them out mid 2016 ($299 from memory). Going off topic but as a PS4/XB1/Switch AND PC gamer I try to give as much time as I can to each platform. That said I find the Xbox easier to pick up and play.

    • You got my +1 for not downgrading from plasma to LED/OLED.

  • Around 10 available at Target Cockburn Gateways as of 1/2 hour ago..

  • How long is this deal going to run for?

    • +2

      Until they run out everywhere.

  • Can confirm I saw this at Target Roselands NSW today.

  • Plenty of stock at Morley, WA
