  • Good to see them following suit. No stock in Sydney to pickup so $49 delivery to Sydney 2000 so makes it $1092. Not a big difference than $1099 from Sony direct.

This is the option to have if you prefer a larger screen area and not too bothered by slightly better HDR and Android built-in.

You could price match somewhere locally if you want such as JB?

    • The item is available in their flagship store @ Auburn…Plus you have the option of price matching it at your local JB-HIFI :-)

    • I found stock at my local HN in Sydney.

      • Did you buy it? Which store was it?

        • No I didn't it was castle hill

    Cheap

How does this compared to 65N7 besides the screen size? In terms of screen quality?

    • I have a 55N& & used to have a led sony 55 inch (not 4k). The sound on the N7 does not compare to the old Sony I had. The bass is hardly there & I wanna sell my N7…

      • I just bought an n7 :(

        • 55N7? Like it?

        • +2

Post below from solidussnake indicates that N7 is a far superior TV than this though~

        • @vjoz:

need to buy coaxial cable to connect to free to air but did youtube and looks good

    HDR10?

  • Anyone got an idea on how does this compare to the Hisense N7 series?

    • +16

The Hisense has the better panel for colour
Better motion processing 100hz vs 50 on the Sony
Better HDR rating on the N7
Better App support on the Hisense as that Sony doesnt run Android
You're basically comparing a entry level to almost top of the range Hisense.
      Sony 1YR warranty
      Hisense 3YR in home warrranty

Do people not google this stuff anymore ? This question has been asked for the past year and a bit when posting Sony deals..

      • +12

Why google it when we can just ask you and you give us all the information?

      • Are you working for Hisense?

        • +1

Used to work for JB in the tv section for the past 5yrs. But would rather of worked for Hisense or any tv brand lol

        • @solidussnake:

Found a great person to ask this question -

Apologies for my ignorance. Appliances online have reduced the price of LG 55UJ634T to $949. Looks like a decent deal. My ideal buy is Hisense 55N7, how is LG 55UJ634T compared to that in terms of everything else other than price?

Thanks for your time & help.

@vjoz: He Mate same as the sony here! LG is only the base model only thing it has going for it is the Web O.S smart software is fantastic but other than that Hisense has better colours HDR motion etc and would still be the better buy ! LG's tv's start to get good at the 7 series and above.

          @solidussnake:

Thanks so much, mate. Will wait for a deal on 55N7 then :)

        • @vjoz: pm me any other questions you have, Also $$ wise :)

        • @solidussnake:

Much appreciated. People like you add value to these forums mate. Cheers.

One year warranty period on a Sony 60" HDR Smart TV? Contacting Harvey Norman via their online chat they confirm only 1 year warranty unless I pay for one of their extra care plans lol…

    • +8

Correct but ACL will give you coverage..

    • +2

Aren't you getting the same 1 year warranty from the official Sony Australia online store as well? Or, is it more than 1 year @ Sony Store?

      • +1

Anything wrong after one year Sony still have to fix it that is our law now.

        • True, but a written contract is easier to claim than ambiguous law.
If ACL had guts, then no monitor with dead or stuck pixels would be sold in Australia.

        • @AlexF:

I am not sure Sony but Samsung fixed my 60" TV after warranty.

    This or Hisense 55N7?

Also, will this fit in a sedan car eg.) Camry

    • +1

Did you not bother to Google or read other comments?

      • Of course I did. The comments are for 65N7, not 55N7.

        • +1

where it says N7 you do realise its the same series of TV no ?

        • +1

          @solidussnake:

Sorry, didn't realise it's the same features etc. and it's just the size that's different. Got it now!

  • mym old man just went in store at my behest and got it for $999 after asking for a discount. Great price for a 60" bravia!

    • Real bargainer!

  • How does this compare to the new Kogan smart tv's?

    • Can't compare. Kogan - it's cheap, you get what you pay for.

  • This or wait for a LG Oled. Its the difference big enough between them to justify waiting?

    • +5

      Not even a fair comparison

    • Haha don't understand the need to down vote but thanks I guess

  • I am going to wait for the X69E model

  • This or X8500E 65"

    • X8500E seem to have more features.

      • Any difference in the image quality, refresh rate etc?

  • +1

This doesnt run on android does it?

    • It does run on Android.

      • No only 7 series and above do

        • Okay thanks. Guess I have to go with series 7…

  • can anyone comment on the picture quality?

    • No comments are as good as your own eyes.

  • -3

Does it have a notification light?

    • +4
