      • worst day of my life

        • Hi Homr, given the lack of participation computer alliance in this eBay promotion, what are your thoughts on this being a deal?

        • +3

@iforgotmysocks: Well iforgotmysocks since you asked, I find this deal rather shallow and pedantic!

        • +4

      Futu, already jacked up

  • hmmm.,..I wonder if anyone will be selling Jaybird X3s for a good price.

    • Catch of the day has them for 124 shipped which seems ok to me? Haven't researched the price too much

  • +11

    Search link please!

      • +32

Handy tip for anyone suspicious of bit.ly links, add a "+" to the end of the link to see where it redirects to and how many clicks it's had.

        eg. https://bitly.com/2k63dys+

  • Really hoping for a good price on the LG B7.

    • +11

      B7 grenade launcher?

      • What's a good price on the grenade launcher and where can I get it? I need a couple of those bad boys for …uhmmm…shooting rabbits and home defense.

    • +3

What's a good price to you? You can get a 55" for $1994 at the moment through VideoPro Ebay store, with their 20% off.
      EDIT: I realise you didn't mention a size. I'm referring to a 55"

      • +2

Yeah that’s decent for sure! I didn’t even realise.
I’m tied between buying it right now or waiting a tiny bit long and seeing what EOFY sales bring.

        • +2

I'm with you. I think I've decided to wait it out with EOFY looming and new model incoming. Here's hoping!

        • +1

          @vacantsleep:

Me too, man! PM me if you ever find a deal and I’ll do the same.

        • Waaaaait for Black Friday!

        • I got sick of waiting and bought it. I’m loving it now.

        • +1

          @chrstphr: me three :-)

      • I want a $2500 65" B7. Surely I'm not asking too much

      Max jack off.

  • +33

    No Computer Alliance, no bargain.

Disclaimer: I have never needed to buy anything from Computer Alliance but there's always a few people every eBay sale who say it lol.

    • Whats computer Alliance

      • One of the few stores where the 20% off prices actually made things a bargain.

      • I'll do you one better. Why computer alliance?

  • +30

I enjoy the comments more than the bargain

    • +82

Thats because the comments are real, the bargains are not.

      • +2

        You win the interwebs

    • Where's that comment-bingo when you need it lol

    • OzComments.

  • +3

Serious question, do you think because of Amazon? eBay is having 20% off selected sellers more offer than last year I reckon.

    • +7

      Yes

    • +3

      No

    • +1

No, they're having it more often because their duping campaign, by jacking prices, have been so successful… and suckers are born every minute so after enough minutes pass, they run another sucker campaign.

      • what's meant by jacking? increasing the usual price then applying a discount promotion?

        • Yup but sometimes sellers forget to jack so you can find a bargain sometimes if you're lucky.

        • More specifically, increasing the usual price to compensate for the 20% discount promotion.

It's a con to get people that doesn't know any better to purchase goods thinking they really scored a 20% off bargain when they really haven't!

    • +2

      Maybe

    • No, they are trying to boost sales as they have slowed somewhat.

  • +31

The code doesn't work for me!

(I know it starts in four days but since someone always complains a few days before it starts let's just get it over and done with)

    • Read the title…Starts in 4 days.

(I always jump the gun and vote/reply when I see an eBay 20% price jack deal)

    • try password1 or these:

      123456
      123456789
      qwerty
      111111
      123123
      987654321
      qwertyuiop

      • I don't blame you Scab, I got sick of waiting too, I jumped the gun and got a nice Sony 65" KDX on reasonable bargain from JB ex display wi-fi for $700

  • Will pull the trigger on the Note 8 if Australian stock goes lower than $1K

  • Vaya is there…hooe time to buy macbook air, any suggestions bargainers?

    • Yes, use a keyboard cover, otherwise even the smallest liquid spill and you will wish you did.

Havent seen The Good Guys have 20% off ebay in ages, thats what im waiting for

    • Maybe they aren't the good guys anymore?

      • +5

Yeah but "kinda-ok guys" doesn't have the same ring to it.

        • +4

Still slightly better than questionable guys..

        • @xoom:
And much better then The Con Men.

    • Send the thanks to the new owners JB Hi Fi

Decided to the search link again after seeing the request above. Here's the link. By the way, it's 37 stores (OP is missing amaysim).

    • +6

      (OP is missing amaysim)

Yep ;) They didn't meet my criteria.

      • Haha

    • +3

      It don't work for me.
      What am I doing wrong?

      • -3

        4 days to go…

        • +7

          The search link. -_-

        • +1

@O15: Check my comment here and see if that helps. Not sure why it's not working for you

    • +7

Search link doesn't seem to work. Resets everytime I try search

      • +7

Here's a list of the sellers:
        allphones_online,amaysim,appliancecentral,aus-auc.2010,ausluck,australiancamerasales,buymobileau,custom_hometheater,crazy-technology,dell_australia,eglobalcentral-au,elgato_store,ftc_computers,futu_online,graysonline-australia,hardtofind_australia,k.g.electronic,mediaformcomputersuppliesptyltd,melbourneelectronic,my-phonez,nofrillssydney,olcdirect,oz_electronics_inc,pc.byte,pocketronics,pro.gadgets,revcom,ryda-online,shopping-express-clearance,sonyaustralia,superhobbystore,sydneyelectronics,sydneytec,treasure_pc_online,trinityconnectonline,vaya_shop,videopro_online

Go to https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/ebayadvsearch and scroll down to included sellers and paste that in. See if it works now. It's still working fine for me. Here's the link again with no extra settings except for the sellers. See if that works.

        • Thank yooouuu. This worked.

No one has a fair price for A7R III. Even grey stock is over 5K. :(

        • +1

Just to help people out, when O15 said 'This worked', he was referring to copying and pasting the sellers in to the 'included sellers' box.

    • +3

      Doesnt work either

      Ebay search is so shit

    • +2

I notice this also contains a filter for 15km from postcode 2000. I assume this wasn't intentional?

Copy pasta. Change ENTERYOURSEARCHTERMHERE to whatever it is you want to search for.

eBay search links are terrible. If you type anything in the search bar at the top of the link it resets everything…

I came for the "I came for the price jack comments"

    • +4

Hope you cleaned up after yourself.

    • I came.

  • +1

Sweet another 5% off code thanks Ebay

  • Dell is offering 20% PROTOTYPE code now and extends to PASSWORD just after? Why?

    • +1

Why does it matter? Would you rather they increase the price instead?

    • +2

Prototype is only on selected products.
