For those at TAFE or UNI, you may qualify for this. This gives you all 7 programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Onenote, Publisher and Access. This offer is ongoing. It used to be $50 only a year or two ago when I was still a student, now Microsoft has taken advantage of its popularity to claw back a bit of profit. Nevertheless, still good value compared to the full version.

Dell's recent swarm offer gives you only 4 of those programs for $91 http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/38002

This deal has been posted before, and an entry for this exists on the Ozbargain Wiki: Student-specific deals article

    • I remember Win7 upgrade being $50… but iirc the office deal was $25/year or $75/life for 2007 (with free upgrade to 2010)

either way, MS ruined it :(

Correct, I purchased Win 7 Pro for $50, and Office 2007 Ultimate for $75. Mind you, I purchased about 6 months before the upgrade offer came out.

    • Yes I think I've seen it before. Had a look forit couldn't find it. Didn't think dell swarm was such a great deal and felt people would get more value paying $8 more and getting 3 extra programs which might be useful.

    • Wiki price was incorrect, so I've updated it to the current price

Microsoft Office for Mac Academic 2011 is now also available for $99 (Mac versions were previously not offered).

  • Old but still good for people haven't heard of it before. It's surprisingly not publicised very much around campus.

  • Does anyone know if this still allows TWO simulatneous installs of office? The old deal did so you could have it on laptop and PC, very useful.

    • It does.

    • According to EULA it allows you to install 1 on a desktop and 1 on a laptop/netbook.

I don't know if the software will differentiate between a desktop or laptop though. Try it on your own risk.

      • I only want it for laptop + desktop so thats perfect thanks.

  • You have to download the suite - which is fine for most people….

There is an option to purchase the DVD - for $14

'Back-up DVD - Suggested if you do not have a good broadband connection or would like to have the software available for future installation.'

  • If you're a uni IT student you can ask your coordinator if they have ms academy account. You can get them free for personal use.

  • Anybody know a [legit] way to get office 2010 [really after pro for publisher + access, both of which my school uses] on the cheap as a high school student? This offer is great and all but I don't go to uni and am not too keen to pay something like $500+ for a pro version :(
