The app is woeful like this. Plenty of times things are out of stock but you can order them from the counter no problems. Especially shakes.

A half cold one is inedible. I know how you feel though. We did a mainland cheese run a while back on a giveaway deal but at least the cheese lasted 6 months.

Tasted Big Mac first time ever..disappointed. Only lettuce, one pickle, sauce and a cheese slice (apart from patties of course). Didnt know Tomatos, onions were extra. With loads of salads and pickles, its HJ all the way for me :)
"Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions – on a sesame seed bun" was the original ad. Way back when the buns were bigger so there was more stuff in there, but now they are smaller - although the patty may be the same size - there just isn't the same amount of filling. They can look great in the photos with the filling seeming to be packed in there because of the smaller bun, but when you get one in your hand you go "what the?" because it's so small. I got the freebie last night and there was one incredibly thin piece of pickle in there. I know, because my daughter made me go through it to take out any pickles. I think there was onion in there, but again not much.
So yeah. I normally now just pay the extra and go 'Gourmet Creations' to get a pretty decent burger. The Big Mac is an anachronism - I'll be sad when/if it is no longer made but I won't shed too many tears. I pretty much stopped eating it when the McOz (mmmmm beetroot) came out, which was then replaced by the McFeast, which then lead to the Angus burgers which morphed into Gourmet Creations.

I am guessing the coupon is 24 hours.
Normal coupons are released at midnight so it ends the same day. But this one was released 11am yesterday. So best bet is to get the Big Macs between 10.30 and 11am.

Me too but honestly - the new Big Mac is not the greatest. I hadn't had one for a couple of years but after eating it, couldn't be bothered driving down for another
Had my big mac yesterday after the gym, walked in, they entered the code into the register and BAM. Annihilated that thing in about 30 seconds.

$3 big mac seems like an average deal after getting it for free yesterday. Would hsve preferred the BOGOF Grand Big Mac.

And even better… when I click 'scan at restaurant' the code is unique every time! Therefore it is not a 'single use' code. (Providing you don't mind going to individual stores, 1 per person per store).

Firstly it wouldn't let me choose my closest venue
Then when I chose it. It said it's closed! {2pm}
Then it said the deal couldn't be applied.
Then when I made the order. Whenever I clicked on something it said the order is still pending and I would have to reorder
Then when the order was completed and told me to check in when I got there. I showed the staff and they didn't get what was going on.

Yeah I showed the staff. As it was only the second time I've used the app. Didn't really understand what check in meant.

If they enter the code from the QR code it will still update your account and remove the rewards from your account.

So if i was to remove the beef patties and add nothing to it. In theory could i go to the counter and get my meat-less big mac and get $2.20 in change? :)

@pennypincher98: The new app is much much worse at this. The old one let you check in further away. The new one seems to sometimes take 2 minutes AFTER you arrive to let you check in, and then, occasionally will think you're at another nearby one and check you in there instead. Necessitating a run down the mall to the other store where someone is blankly shouting your number into the void.
