Terms & Conditions

Offer valid for new and existing users only upon entering the code CBRGOCATCH.

The 25% rebate is applied as credit to your GoCatch account for all rides until 11:59pm 30 June 2018. This Rebate Offer is valid for on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium excluding payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge. The 25% rebate is calculated from the paid fare value of the trip, less credit used on the trip, tips, tolls, levies, and surcharges. The trip must occur between 7:30am Tuesday 29 May 2018 and 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018 to be eligible for the 25% credit rebate. Trips occurring outside this period will not be eligible. Any promotional or voucher credit applied to a trip will be deducted from the fare value when calculating the 50% rebate. This offer ends 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018.

$20 credit valid from 7:30am Tuesday 29 May 2018 until 11:59pm Saturday 30 June 2018. Credit can only be redeemed with on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium excluding payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge. Passenger must have entered a Credit/Debit card, PayPal account, Android Pay account, or Apple Pay account as a saved payment method in the GoCatch app. If the total fare is greater than $20, the remaining balance will be charged to the nominated payment method. Any unused credit will be forfeited.

    They really need to contact everybody and explain the credit removal and let them keep their normal refer a friend referals.

    Interesting that they say “vouchers don’t stack” however, their policy to delete ALL credit isn’t a stacking issue it is more like voiding EVERYTHING. If it was a stack issue, then at least one voucher should remain active. Either way it’s dodgy, but they could at least handle their “fine print” fairly. They can’t even do that.

    Lost all credit including referral code credit. I have a feeling they couldn't be bothered working out who used what code so have done a general wipe of all vouchers and leave it up to the user to claim any legitimate vouchers back.

  • All credit gone too! I also just received an email from them saying all Ozb users can now get free Rewards Membership, simply "update" the app. But there are no updates available (at least on Apple Store anyway). Revoked my upvote!

      Then i read the conditions:

    GoCatch has always been the most expensive way to hail a taxi. All their promotions are just smoke and mirrors trying to hide the fact that you end up paying more using the app. This bait and switch screw up is not helping their image either. And they have the audacity to email and CONGRATULATE me about the "free Rewards Membership", only to hide the message of "we're revoking your credit" in the end. Like I said, it's alway smoke and mirrors, even with their email trying to clean up the mess. I can't stand poor service, let along shady practice.

      From experience, even their private vehicles are more expensive than Uber, Ola, and Taxify. I wouldn't recommend anyone use them unless they wanted to pay more for no good reason.

    Also had all my credits cancelled, including an existing credit I had from a long time ago which I was given because of.. you guessed it.. a previous complaint about their service. Thought I'd give them another chance, but that's it. Will leave a negative review on the play store and tell people about how terrible gocatch is. Well done guys!

    Pathetic. I understand why they might need to remove the credit from these promos (even though the very fact it worked in the first place was due to their incompetence), but removing other pre-existing credit is basically theft. I shouldn't have to email and beg them to review my account to fix it.

      Remember to remove your credit cards and remove the app. Has a big impact on their ability to raise funds…. or have a successful IPO (if they can keep a CEO down).

      • What about if you choose PayPal option? Do you need to remove that? or closing your account is enough.

    So I added the codes on Monday night, caught a $40 cab using that credit immediately after (it dropped to $20 and the in-app receipt says I used the credit), and apparently they've charged my credit card.

    They're asking for a chargeback, which will come with a further fee in the vicinity of $30 to them. Not their smartest idea.
