  • Anyone have any comments on this? It seems to have mixed reviews online. Is there any alternative that people would recommend if they wouldn't recommend this one?

Try Miele. Go into a store that sells the full range and see if you like them. My cousin has one and it’s so powerful. She doesn’t have the model with a powerhead though because she only has hardfloors. I can only recommend trying them. Then go find you model of choice online for cheaper.

I wouldn’t recommend any Dyson without a turbo head attachment. They have great uprights because the turbo head is powered by the motor. This model doesn’t even come with an air powered turbo head. You’d never be happy unless you’re buying it only for hard floors. Also, they’re not making any more vacuum cleaners anymore. They’ve shifted to handstick only. I watched a doco about it when they launched the V10.

    • thanks for the feedback!

  • We recently bought a elecrolux zsp4303pet (price match in TGG to $188).

Market is not very developed I would say, if you want electric brush, it's only dyson or dodgy chinees brands, everyone else have turbo (uses power of suction to rotate brush). Than "bagless"is only true in dyson, but again only partially, cheep ones truly do not have anything else, premium (absolute like) have hepa filters.

The one we bought is kinda compromise - half (or ~20-30%) the price from comparable dyson, but has "washable" sponge filter. Bagless miele cost even more then dyson, and has washable filter as well..
