  • Time to release the X'mas funds!

  • Great deal …. if only it wasnt a Giant! (joking, personal preference, looks like a great bike) (and it had Di2)

      Price has been dropped.

Now we need to get Lygon cycles to drop their price…. and then repeat ;)

          Officeworks?

          • +4

@hoxygt: Sorry. This is more like out of office works.

    • Lygon Cycles only has M, L and XL….

  • Thanks OP, bought 10!

I think you're missing a decimal point in there somewhere.

Couple of dudes in my cycling bunch ride these, they look good in the carbon and seem quick. Under $3K for an aero bike with Ultegra and carbon wheels is better than 2nd hand prices. I already have a Trek Madone so aero box already ticked but if I was in the market this would be on my list.

  • +1

These are aero and good value, but EXTREMELY stiff and not actually that nice to ride for very long.

  • and I can't even afford a $200 bike!

    • Plenty of sweet bikes for $100. Bikes r like golf clubs, spending more only equates to faster/ better for wee few!

  • Got any regular sized bikes?

    • +1

Isn't "medium" by definition "regular sized" ?

      • +4

Yes, but by definition "Giant" is a very large size.

        • +1

Oh, poor attempt at humour….I see, I thought you were asking a serious question, my bad!!!

    • -1

What do you mean by that? Extra Small, Medium, Med/Large and Large seems like a fairly regular range of sizes.

  • Hi op,
Any chance you can do a great MTB deal aswell?

  • Anyone know where there are good deals like this in WA?

  • +1

They never seems to be sales like this in SA. That or I just keep missing them.

    • Agreed! You have to hunt a bit and there are some one-offs you can find but rare

  • Any indicator of what the prices for the Fastroad SLR and CoMax are OP? The site is not very specific, just saying "Contact us for the best price in Melbourne!". I was considering them, but they seem to have low spec components for the price (Tiagra, while much cheaper bikes from Merida and Cannondale have 105s or Ultrega).

  • Guys, just gotta watch out, try it with a comparable Giant bike in store. I was calling Lygon cycles and they were trying to make me get M sized. I now ride an old Madone which is 54cm and I still think it's too big. Medium size for Giant is 55-56cm so it may be in the Large size for other bikes.

Suggest you actually try in-store or call first to make sure you got the sizes you may need not what they think you should be getting. Your height may say you're suitable for M but your arms reach maybe suitable for S.

All the more reason to go into a Local Bike Shop and get some advice on what's best for you vs buying the cheapest bike over the internet. I have had a professional bike fit and kept the measurements page for my bike setup, I am the guy you've described, long body, short arms, or as my wife describes, short arms and deep pockets!!!

      • The question is how deep did your wife get into your pocket???

  • It's a good price, but make sure your body can handle the aero position before you buy. If you're old and chubby you might want to start with the Defy or similar.
