The Ghost ship is showing $10

    • $9 in Vic. Try setting your local store, that might help. Or it's due to the can refund scheme.

      • +1

It's already set and I just came back from buying 4 cans, it was $10 at my local Dans

  • +1

The ghost ship is barely drinkable.

      Some appear to differ:

Awards: Crowned Winner of London Indie Beer Can Festival 2014
      4.5/5 from 70 reviews

      • +3

The problem with beer awards is that there's enough of them pretty much anyone can win one. Companies pay to enter so they can slap it on their website or the can itself.

The reviews on the other hand suggest it's fairly decent, so for $10 I'll be giving it a go.

I'm pale ale fan and my favorite beer the beechworth pale ale

I'm drinking the ghost ship now as I type this, its more bitter but the fruity taste is there.

Top 45 percentile on Ratebeer is respectable enough for a mainstream beer https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/adnams-ghost-ship-bottle-can/1…

  • Excellent price for Adnams.

Looks like Dan Murphy's might be feeling the pressure from all the great boozebud deals lately. This is the only decent dans members deal I have seen in years.

    • i just a got a box of beers from boozebud and half are out of date.
      check your beers

    • Yeah that's right they were always emailing offers at one time, haven't had one for months.

  • Showing $15.99 per 4 pack for Brisbane metro stores. Sadface dot gif.

    • Have you logged into your Dan Murphy's account?

      • No, I just assumed all that was required was scanning the card at the POS, like it has been previously.

        • +1

Well yeah, it is. I assumed you were talking about it showing that price on the website and the price is updated once you're logged in.

          • +1

@Nousernamehere: No wockas, thanks for clarifying mate.

  • I agree both $1 dearer in Brisbane, am logged in as member and store set to the local still showing $1 more. May be the new government tax but I thought that was .10\container so price should be $9.40 not $10?

    • It rounds up…

  • White rabbit dark ale 6 pack is 18 with my dan murphy

    • Where are you seeing this?

I’m in VIC and both carton and 6 pack shows full price.

  • Bringing back memories of pulling ghost ship on cask at east London pubs to old timers that talk like Bricktop from Snatch. Might have to grab a few and reminisce.

Both are rubbish. Drinking The Legend of Goat DIPA ($11 at Dan's) as I type this, do yourself a favour, don't drink crap mass produced beer, once you've tried decent craft beer you'll never get back.

    • Carlsberg would be rubbish as it's brewed in Australia, however, the Adnams is a very nice drop.

Mountain Goat seem to have dropped in quality over the years…. and those limited releases haven't been that impressive. I'll give the Legend of Goat a go as I've tried all the others.

    • $11 a bottle for the Goat? Not sure that's ozbargain material?

    • +1

Now you're talking… aahhh don't waste your breathe round here. They just don't understand… and probably never will. I can't remember the last time I bought mainstream. I just can't do it anymore.
Just had a weekend of digging into The Dawn Double Neipa, Market Neipa and Fruitulus Lupulus.
Even just started getting into sours etc… Beerfarms Salted Plum Sour blew me socks off.

  • That Ghost ship was headache material for me last time I got it on special. Worth a try but beware of buying a big load just in case!
