    Ta, TA.

Wish the minimum spend was lower though.

    • +10

The $120 minimum spend makes these deals of less interest.

  • +14

I got more shit in my house then I have space since I first joined OzBargain. I save money but damn my wallet hurts. Oh well let's see what we can find

    • +8

      Sell it on ebay!

      • +3

That happened to me and I sell them back on eBay !

    • +8

You save even more money by not buying stuff you don't need…

      • +3

But … but … that's not the Ozbargain way!

    • "I save money but damn my wallet hurts." —> this is just an illusion most people try to convince themselves.

      wrong.
you dont save money but damn your wallet is happy (because its empty and light).

    • -1

      I save money

You lost money and you talked about losing it in advertising doublespeak where you said you saved it but obviously advertising has no effect upon anybody so you must just speak in riddles as a normal thing.

      • +10

Here, have some commas and full stops: ,,,…,,…

    • +14

I read the description and it says that it starts at 10am.

      • +21

        But I want it now.

    • +2

Clearly stated that it starts 10am…

    • +1

      There's always the one person…

  • +1

    Another day, another eBay discount

    • +1

Another eBay discount, another tight arse.

      • +1

        and another loose wallet

  • +7

I only need shoelaces, now to think of other items that add up to $120 >_<'

    • +3

Micro SD cards. 1 for each shoe

  • +1

I swear they have 10% off every week

    • +63

Reported to the mods for swearing.

      • +1

Lol @ whoever negged you. Some people can't take a joke

    • +4

Why isn't it? Also people purchase items every day, so a discount in the past isn't helpful if you need to purchase today.

      • -4

It's the same "deal" every single day.

        • +3

It wasn't a valid offer for yesterday though, so perhaps not every single day

    • +1

We enjoy saving that 10% on the things we don't need to buy.

  • +6

this feels like those 'closing down sales' where they just don't close down and the deals are the same each day?

    • +1

Haha you remind me of rugs a million where it was always those 90% off sales

    • +7

I was thinking of John Farnham farewell tours.

    • Why is the same 10% deal significant to any of you?

Directly above you and it's at -19 votes so far :D

  • +3

Lol @ the minimum spend, what a joke.

    • +4

Lol @ spend, what a joke.

      • +4

Lol @ joke, what a minimum spend.

        • +3

Joke @ minimum, what a Lol.

  • +1

Bah! Target excluded, again! That’s anyway, TA.

    • What did you want from Target?

      • Lego. :D

But now I’m going to look somewhere else on eBay… had some on my watch list, waiting for this code to come up and bam! Block blocked by eBay!

        • Oh cool, surely you'll have no problem finding another seller selling Lego though

        • Big W is having 20% off Lego soon

          • @zxc4572: Yeah, but it will be 20% off full retail price. Target have some good deals, and 10% off would make them sweeter and well below the 20% Big W will be offering.

  • +9

Car parts excluded. I swear half my wish list is car parts.

    • +2

watch out! WatchNerd is reporting people 'swearing' in here… :D

    • Car parts are always excluded, if it's cheaper than retail shops don't bother waiting to pull the trigger, you'll be 6 feet under before that happens

  • +2

    Search link.

    Mods, please pin this.

    • +2

They tried to pin it but the link was so tight the pin wouldn’t fit anywhere

  • +2

So this appears to be a better sale for regular non eBay Plus members than last week’s eBay Plus member sale. Go figure.

eBay seems to be trying really hard to make people see any value with eBay Plus. I honestly think it won’t be around much longer. Or at least not in it’s current format.

    • eBay Plus is good when you have a problem and need to actually call them. They answer the phone!

      • +1

They may answer the phone, but it doesn't make the service better.

I had an issue on the site, called, and wasted a lot of time going through things only for them to blow off the error at the end. A month or so later the error got fixed through some other means, but ebay plus support certainly weren't of any use.

  • +4

That minimum spend is $100 too high.

    • Depends what you want really…great deal for a Xiaomi roborock, for example.

  • +1

Far out haven't received my St george credit card yet but keen to buy a laptop

  • Thanks TA. Been waiting for this one to save $60 on a coffee machine. Too bad it came a few days too late otherwise would save me another $25.

    • +2

Please hand in your Ozbargain membership for not waiting until there was a 10% off code.

      • +1

They had additional 15% off for 7 days only after I had waited for it for a month…worried the stock would run out I pulled the trigger.

Otherwise it would have been a cool 23.50% off.

  • +5

When's the next car parts sale??

    • +2

Well it is pretty obvious the sitewide sales will now always exclude car parts, so best to hope for is a 20% of selected sellers that includes some car part sellers.

      • Well funnily enough it doesn't exclude overseas car parts, and vice versa for the UK/us sales.

        • UK/US sales are always better than AU

      • Yeah it's interesting that eBay have started excluding car parts. This change only happened a few weeks ago.
It seems a bit unfair. It's especially annoying because a lot of multipurpose items and electronics are listed as 'car parts'.

I imagine it must have something to do with profit margins or fees.

        • +1

Yeah I was really cut. I did all the maths to compare all the deals for black friday, then used the sitewide code for brake rotors and no deal. I don't get why the margins would be different between brakes or hubcaps compared to iphones and eneloops and vacuums etc.

    • +2

      P5OFF works with car parts, better than nothing, and kinda ok when combined with 5% off gift cards;
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/406407

  • I won an auctuon last night.
Will i be able to use this code if i check out and pay after 10am today?

    • +1

      Yes

      • +2

        legend, thank you!

saved $70 off a purchase from last night

        happy as a pig in S *& T

  • Really need a samsung evo plus 256. Any decent deal on ebay from reputable seller?

Happy to pay a few bucks more to make sure i dont get a fake.

  • +5

I know it's different countries and different markets but look at eBay USA and how they have no minimum spend on all their deals and how eBay Australia has ridiculous minimum spend offers. A complete joke!

    • And sometimes the discount codes have been 20% off on everything too! We’re getting ripped off in Oz!

    • Yep that's why I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    • +1

eBay is only interested in increasing spending so this tells me that Australian's lose their money with less encouragement than Americans.

      • Looks like Americans aren't so dumb

  • +2

Minimum spend is a joke if these sales are on every second day. Next!

  • Will this work on an auction style listing (for a used item) that ends today? Read the T&C and doesn’t mention this so assume it works?

    • Yes it works. Apply code at checkout page

  • I wonder how much more they wil discount when boxing day sales start of will eBay have run out of steam by then?

This just makes everything look bad for those who joined eBay plus. Normally when you buy something you don’t want to return it so often little benefit there. And then if you return too many times eBay has the right to stop free returns. Free shipping generally applies to new goods so if you buy a used item it’s generally not free. (Eg collectibles).

    Waiting for another 15% day!

  • +5

Why are they excluding car parts? FFS!

  • I'm becoming wary about these so called ebay sales. For example I bought SSD's from American sellers (Newegg and Amazon US) still far cheaper than the ebay sales price including promotions. Just do your research before you rush to buy. 10% hardly seems a real value discount these days.

  • Not working for me.

Keeps saying 'this code can't be applied to your order'

It's a $1900 item, not in the excluded categories or sellers.

    Anyone else having problems?

    • I've even tried it with one of the items listed on the deal page (a dyson from binglee) and got the same error.

Anyone able to get this working?

edit: turns out my account was registered in the UK before I moved here so the code couldn't be used.
They have changed it and it works now :)

      • I think I've got the same issue. How did you get it changed? Thanks.

        • I used the online help/chat thing.

I had no idea the problem, just said I can't use the code and he looked into it and realised why.
He changed it over there and then and the code worked straight away.

    • Check if your registration address is in Australia.

  • Thanks TA. Perfect to stack with 5% off eBay Gift Cards.

  • make sure you add your items over $150 cos ebay keeps increase their minimum spend

  • +1

I'm buying an Iphone and it gives me the same error. "This code can't be applied to some of your items".

  • thanks ebay to save 12 dollar to buy min 120 bucks LMAO

    • but some people that buying $3000+ will save $300
like the one above you, maybe buying 3x iphones

  • Out of interest, who covers the 10% off?

    The seller or ebay?

  • Just a heads up for Oxbargainers looking for mattresses. Now with this, 5% off gift cards and 1% cashrewards makes the Zzz Atelier Mattress Sale deal even sweeter.

I'm too lazy to update the post lol but the last comment gives an idea on how much more you save!

  • I'm getting wrong code error as well and the item is $139 any ideas how to overcome error guy's

    Edit I was putting in 010 it's o10
