16GB Lexar Echo ZE $38 JB Hi-Fi, 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade $24.98 BigW

140

OW also have the Lexar so possibly can price match:

BigW have the 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade for $24.98
http://www.sandisk.com/products/usb-flash-drives/sandisk-cru…

All these USB sticks are of the smaller variety, ie smaller than the models Harvey Norman have had on special. Handy for the laptop or leaving in a STB PVR with only a front USB port.

I don't know the measurements of the Lexar but the SanDisk is about 40mm or about 10mm longer than the Verbatim Micro.

    cheap

  • Yes, I might be going to Big W today :)

  • Just makes me annoyed again at the HN deal. Waiting for another sub-20 16gb stick. Not too long now eh?

    • I think you can get 16Gb Toshiba USB sticks at some HNs for $19 in their clearance bins. Those are normal sized USB sticks though.

      • The HN near my place has ALOT left, they are selling it for the higher price like $24 or something, but they are happy to price match to Knox.

  • Very nice.

  • None of the Cruzer at Riverton Forum in WA :(

  • They had 3 left at Big W Phoenix Park in WA

I've got the Sandisk Cruzer Blade 16GB (from elsewhere) and I probably wouldn't recommend buying it as shifting gigabytes of data at a maximum of 3MB/s is painful. For example, I recently copied 12GB of photos in one go and it took me about an hour!

On the flipside, it is fairly inexpensive, so I guess it would be OK if you are only using it transfers of smaller amounts of data or infrequent transfers of large amounts of data.

    • Yes agree. Very disappointing writing speed this Cruzer from Sandisk. Toshiba is 3 times faster

  • no sandisk cruzer's @ Big W Blacktown but picked up a Toshiba 16gb @ HN Blacktown for $24 instead
