Until the prices change for inter/intrastate flights, why wouldn't you go to Bali. March: Bali return, $153. Broome return: $434. And thats not to mention the actual costs while in either.

Mostly because Bali is ruined by drunk Australians

Only really Kuta/Legian and Seminyak to a less extent. Plenty of other places to escape the yobos.

          • @Brouw3r: Yes. I stayed in Kuta on a stop over once. Horrible place. I've heard from many people there are much nicer places nearby

            • @Phoebus: Yes, it is. And yes there are.

I love to go snorkelling on the Ningaloo Reef, but the time, effort and money it takes to get there compared to going to Amed (3 hours from the airport), Nusa Penida (30 minutes speed boat from Sanur which is 30 minutes drive from the airport) or even Gili Nanggu (near Lombok, a little more complicated to get to) makes a flight to Bali my preferred option.

        • i had that stigma in my mind too for many years, until i finally went almost 2 years ago. didnt see any drunk aussies and really enjoyed it

You can get lots of other dates at great prices too. Just use the price beat promise on Jetstar and get 10% off the fares that AirAsia has on special right now. All the way into Mid December.

The big advantage of using price beat (other than the 10% that get partially eroded by the way they do it these days): because it is international you can choose any JetStar flight on the day for the price AirAsia has for their shittiest time.

      • Great OB advice

      • only if ur airport is serviced by aa..

  • Any tips on a data SIM card for Bali?
