Thanks but I think I'd rather spend $2 than sign up to a FF trial.

        but it's free!!!!!

        • +23

Yeah, right up until you try to cancel your membership with Fitness First, then you find out what the shakers REALLLY cost.

          • +1

@try2bhelpful: Huh? A free trial is not a membership, nor do they have your payment information.

Though I can't see this free shaker mentioned anywhere else?

          • @try2bhelpful: Mine was actually free!. At uni they had a wheel to spin, and you got whatever came up (I got the bottle) . They did refuse to let me have a spin, unless I agreed to be contacted for trial and gave some details (gave fake details) . You can't lure me with a spinny wheel for free stuff, then expect me not to tell you anything you wanna hear, for a spin at it.

            • @[Deactivated]: Think I’d still rather buy the $2 bottle than waste my time on the spin and filling in the form with fake details. I was with FF for a while when they took over one of my old gyms. It was a nightmare to cancel the membership. I won’t go near them.

  • Which store?

  • Can't go wrong with these shakers.

    Are they BPA free?

        • +3

Who said anything about these being discounted?

          • -3

@PR0r: why post on ozbargain then?

          • -6

@PR0r: It there is no saving, then it's not a bargain.

            • +12

@jv: It is a saving compared to similar products at other shops. It's worth a post so that now we all know that Big W has them at a great price every day.

The same applies to most Aldi deals posted here, I never saw you complain about those.

              • @team teri:

It is a saving compared to similar products at other shops.

It's not a saving as you can get then any time for this price.

                • +6

                  @jv: It's on OzBargain because it's 2 (profanity) dollars… which is a bargain

                • +5

@jv: You can't be serious? How is it not a saving given every other protein shaker costs more. All the cheaper ones I've purchased have had dodgy lids. These are cheaper than those and have a much more solid feel.
If optus released a new prepaid plan tomorrow for $1 and included a million gigs, would it be a bargain? Absolutely. But wait, it's there any time price.

                  • +3

@PR0r: But you're not posting $1 for a million gigs, i have the exact same plastic bottle i got a free somewhere and i don't even drink protein shakes.

                    • @Savas: You've missed the point.

            • +1

              @jv: You're dreaming.

              • +1

@PR0r: I think the rules was if its always that price then it goes to the forums and not to the standard bargains page. At least thats what usually happens for items that are always free or a specific price. Its only on the bargains page if it is discounted or a different / cheaper price than the standard price it used to be..

The device you went to the trouble of asking that question is more likely to cause you health issues than any BPA used in plastic food containers.

Any idea if these shakers have anything inside to break up/mix the ingredients?

Some shakers have metal balls in them, some have a strainer between the lid and base.

    • +4

Each comes with a trusty stainless wisk type ball. Just prepped a few post workout drinks now.

        thanks mate.

Almost bought some off eBay yesterday but thought twice. Then I see this today. Thanks! Will grab some tomorrow

For $5 they have the shakers with two screw-on attachments for storing the protein

Oooo i can feel the lean gains already!

  • +2

Bah, I can make my own protein shake for free. And get a couple of minutes work out at the same time

    • +1

I assume this is a euphemism.

    • +2

      That is below the belt…

  • I have been using a blender and milk. Would this taste better/different?

  • If its always this price, doesnt that mean it goes to the forum and not as a ozbargain post?
