Wahoo Kickr Snap V2 - $649.95 + Postage @ Pushy’s

130

Looks to be $100 off the usual RRP that most retailers sell these for. Wahoo products are rarely discounted.

  • New Model coming? I did see GCN mention an announcement from Wahoo coming up

    • Wouldn’t surprise me!

    • No, New head unit "Elemnt Roam" due to drop

      • Jeez the Elemnt Roam nearly costs the same as this trainer :|

  • Believe snap v2 has been around for 2 years. With the Tour coming up there may be a new model coming.

  • I haven't gone through the whole checkout process but it seems you can get it cheaper here ($617.45):

I haven't +1 this deal only because I've just started getting into cycling and don't know enough about these trainers to be willing to spend that kind of money… :(

Would be surprised if it goes through without the Zwift sub but worth a try!

I wouldn't get a wheel-on trainer unless you really hate taking your rear wheel on and off. It's not nearly as accurate as a direct drive one and you'll end up wearing down your tyre.

Unless you have a dedicated trainer bike, removing the rear wheel every time you want to train is a pain. I’ve not noticed any Tyre wear on my Kickr… no more than usual wear from commuting to/from work every day anyway.

Agreed. If I had my time again I would have saved a few extra dollars and sprung for a direct drive trainer. That said if you have a dedicated trainer bike with a trainer tyre it isn't too bad and if you have a power meter on your main bike you can swap on to your trainer bike (i.e. pedals) you can calibrate it pretty accurately
