Battery charger with keyboard? so its not a keyboard with battery charger? the primary usage for this device is meant to be a charger for batteries?

My mind is exploding with the possibilities lol

  • The rep has failed to explain it properly. Apparently it's a keyboard that also contains a big battery to recharge iPods, etc, away from any AC power. Don't think I wanna spend > $100 on this.

  • Who will buy it?

  • Bit confused as to the capacity.
It's a LiPo battery, which is ordinarily 3.7V. The specs on it say output: 9v.
    So is this battery 3.7Vx10,000mah = 37Wh? or 9Vx10,000mah = 90Wh?
If it's the latter, that's a pretty good deal. If the former, not so much.
Finally, if it outputs at 9v, why does it use a USB plug (which is ordinarily 5v?)
    Confused

    • I'm guessing the USB plug charges the battery from the computer. Obviously some voltage step up is happening when it feeds the iPod. I would guess your pessimistic calculation is more likely.

    • lol, It's a Battery that comes with a built-in Keyboard… and it's the power rating that has you confused.

What I can't figure out is, WHY you would buy this?

      • So you can recharge your ipad while you use it with the keyboard.
The battery isn't a new concept at all, adding a keyboard to it was the smart part.

Energizer has an 18,000mAh keyboardless version:

If you ever go on a long-haul flight with long stopovers in airports, you'll recognize the convenience of something like that.

        • and surely you'll be banned at the frisk points

        • I use my portable battery pack for my laptop for when i fly to USA, its great, just wish the USB out would also charge my iPhone (but it wouldn't charge my HTC 8525 either), all i used the USB for was a USB light.

This idea isn't new, the ASUS EEEpad transformer and the Acer Iconia tab also have keyboard docks that include batteries which extend overall capacity. This is a Chinese rip off made for the iPad.

  • LOL which mofo came up with this innovation? :D

    • Well Zagg and Logitech came up with the keyboard case for the iPad2

No battery, but I'm betting LTS will have it MUCH cheaper than what this is going for.

      • But that device is useful as stand, bt keyboard, and protective case. Also it's designed to fit, and looks appealing. Overall a nice accessory.

      • ASUS actually took that idea and brew up a storm that we know as the Transformer

  • I really don't get how this is, if at all, practical?

  • For those who don't know, iThrough is a division of FocalPrice.

  • Lol batteries!

wouldnt it be cheaper and easier to get a seperate keyboard and a usb cable?

Spam and a very weird device that is really a waste of time.
    Also way too $$$.
Am I missing something… Wheres the bargain?

  • This doesnt make sense, too heavy for portable device that has good life anyway

    • You need to travel more.
