Damn - that be cheap for 4 cams. Im sure it was $1200+ the other day.

    • This is the 2c. Anyone know what the difference is?

The ones you are refering to are EufyCam which are the longer looking cams. Those ones are the 365 day battery ones and also have an anti theft mechanism. The ones in this deal are the 180 day variants.

I am pretty sure they are newly released in Australia as the other ones been out for some time and never seen them in store or Amazon AU or Ebay AU.

I've has them for over a year and love them.

    • Should have bought it when it was below $400 for 2 cams and base station then

      • This is 4bcamera kit. But smaller battery and no AI

        • This was referring to the $1200 kit systmworks referred to.

And I was inferring that 2x $400 would be $800

          The 2c were never $1200

    • Yep I thought these were the regular model - not the cut down C version.

  • +5

eufycam = 365 days battery with AI function
    eufycam E = 365 battery no AI
eufycam 2C = 180 days battery life and no AI but has LED spotlight.

As far as i know. AI is in only first get camera.not in base or newer base or cameras

    • The Eufycam 2 was just unveiled

      • Yes. Sorry missed it eufycam 2 has apple homekit compatibility and secure cloud

        • +1

Pretty sure 2c also has home kit support

      • Cant see it's available yet in AU…?

        • contacted Anker - have no planned release date here

Got the Eufycam from the last deal $400 deal. Feature packed, good quality and most notably the ai and internal SD recording is a winner however, the do NOT record 24/7. Like most battery operated cameras, they only trigger on motion detection and record for a set amount of time (eg 90sec).

    • +2

For 24/7 video you looking for videos surveillance system.

  • Is this standard price or special price?

    • You'll find them cheaper soon on ebay and Amazon. This is the first time I've seen them on ozbargain. They are newly released. Think this is the standard price.

  • Surprised there is zero review on youtube or google!

This must be the first product that I search and can't find reviews on the internet…. how come!?

  • +1

    Go for the eufycam instead.
Managed to grab 1 (4 camera set) from the goodguys ebay deal for $800.

    Really happy with the purchase.
All base covered and has never missed a beat..
And battery life is 365 days (still to be verified..)

    • 100% agree. Skip this one and get the Eufycam 365 day ones instead when on sale

  • +2

    Not a bargain IMO
OP has confused them with the regular Eufy wire free cameras. I believe $699 is RRP, can find them cheaper pretty easily even though they are very new. Will get much cheaper as more places stock them.

  • I was considering picking up the Arlo pro 2 two camera kit but now I'm wondering if this is a better option.

I am not sure 180 day battery life is a big deal when the Arlo pro 2 will be lucky to last 90.

Anyone know what camera would be better? I already have the original Arlo with two cameras.

    • Get the 365 day EufyCam. Mine have been outside for 2 months and all still have 5/5 bars of power left. I too considered Alros initially but Eufy seem to be more recommended on OzB and I haven't regretted getting them

      • I don't really have the budget to spend 1299 on a 4 camera kit hence was thinking these or adding two Arlo pro 2 cameras to my existing arlos as my budget is around 700 and I need someone asap.

  • Is this similar to Arlo, a subscription based service ?

    • +1

Eufy use local (micro SD) card storage in the base station.
No ongoing cost, but not good if thieves steal the base.

They do offer optional cloud backup for $3 per month per camera (or $30/yr - get 2 months free).
      Probably US$

  • Based on comments, Eufycam gen 1 seems to be still the one to go but this has homekit support which gen 1 doesnt have.

Eufy is making its product line uncessarily complex and confusing to consumers. Not a great strategy and i wonder how many years can this product line last.

  • I’ve just purchased these Cameras using my JB discount commercial account.
It brought the price down to $530 for a 4 camera kit.
These cameras have facial recognition, a flood lamp and siren on each camera, an alarm on the home base and 180 Day battery life.
There is local storage on a 16GB micro SD card that can be expanded to 128GB. The 16GB storage will keep about 3 months worth of footage which is plenty of space.
I have set these cameras up and they are working perfectly so far.
Whoever said these cameras don’t have facial Recognition needs to do their research properly!!!!

    • when did u grab them from the jb comm site? got my mate to check and it was $608, so either virgin dont get as good pricing or its gone up maybe?

      • it depends on who you work for. I work for Government office, my price was $530 pick up for the 4 cams and hub. awesome discount.

        • is there a sign up using a .gov email or do you have to access via a work portal?

          thanks

    • Are you saying you bought the 2c version? I read on Amazon questions that the 2c doesn't have a anti theft alarm on the camera. Also is the spotlight motion activated or manual only?

      • yes i bought 2C version. anti-theft alarm is on each camera and spotlight can be manually toggled as well as motion activated.

        • How did you get the motion activated spotlight to work? I could not find any settings to turn it on and when I tested the motion detection I couldn't get it the spotlight to turn on automatically.

          • @jarrod63: Mine just comes on Auto man. I think if it’s under a certain amount of lux it will trigger automatically.
But I can manually trigger also.

  • Almost purchased the Arlo Pro 2 for $875. Is the Eufy 2C any good and worth the purchase when compared to the Arlo Pro 2 cams?
