Free iTunes Movie Download "Arthur"

1150

From The Age website:

"This winter, we are giving you a fabulous opportunity to build your iTunes library and enjoy two great Warner Bros. Entertainment movies, for free.

This weekend, we have a free movie available for you to download on Saturday and Sunday. Our winter warmer movies are the classics Arthur and Dead Calm. You can also find more movie titles on iTunes for just $5.99 to keep you entertained this winter.

Today The Age, Warner Bros. Entertainment and iTunes are giving away Arthur, starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli.

Arthur is a sweet but wildly irresponsible playboy whose millions have left him lonely and with no motivation in life. On the threshold of an arranged marriage with a simpering socialite whom he does not love, Arthur meets the spunky, blue-collar waitress Linda Marolla, and falls head over heels."

  • Thx for sharing. You can use redemption code ERTF763K3ET3 to redeem directly from within iTunes. Code only valid on the Australian App Store

    • The code can't be reused. Seems we each need to get our own.

Reckon I can start it now and download it later? Capped atm.

EDIT: so I don't know how to pause the download, but I forgot iTunes was unmetered for me :P so win.

But for future reference, yes you can. Once you redeem the code you it will be on your account when you click "Check iTunes for available downloads" and I think it leaves once it's completely downloaded

  • +1 Thanks for sharing. You can pause downloads in iTunes. w00t to iiNet for quota free purchases thru appstore

  • is asking me to enter a redemption code… what the?

    • You need to click the icon on the AGE website page "Get it Free on iTunes" and it will automatically load the store and confirm your redemption token is accepted.

          Didn't work in Firefox.

Do you have an ad blocker? It didn't work for me in Firefox until I turned off Adblock Plus.

BTW these movies are 1.09GB for those interested.

Try using Internet Explorer. iTunes should pop up and just ask you to login… Redemption code will be automatically assigned.

      • fixed, how do i change my vote to positive

  • Anyone know if it's a good movie?

    • +1

Well it's certainly better than the recent remake…

Free movie from the internet…..wow ;)

    • +2

Free legal movie from the internet…

FTFY. The difference is in the details. :D

      • In the end, the only difference is you know you stole it. Oh, and the torrented version is probably higher quality and DRM free.

      • There isn't really difference. It's free either way and is from an online server. Besides, it's a very old movie so it's not like studio is losing tonnes of money from it.

I'm sure the only difference is that from the iTunes link, there's some statistic that allows them to attribute it to The Age's promotion. Other than that, I'm sure you could have found a better quality torrent without DRM.

This promotion is purely for people who want to sleep guilt-free tonight.

  • The link on the age website isn't working for me.
When I click it it redirects me to s2d6.com leaving me with a blank page.

  • Works through IE, have both free movies downloaded, awesome!

  • Has worked for me with Safari for both movies even though technically the SMH "Arthur" would be not be available to me until tomorrow in NSW. Thanks to Ozbargainers I have them both today :)

  • worked through firefox for me, thanks
