$825 in Free Brokerage from Commsec

71

Further to the $600 free brokerage offer, this offer is available to selected Netbank customers.

However, my assumption is that everyone(existing CBA netbank customers) is eligible to apply for this offer via attached linkage.

Terms and Conditions can be found at the bottom of the page.

  • Oh, it's also extended to 15 equity trades. (From 12.)

Too bad I already signed up last week. :(

Note that to actually make use of $825 in brokerage credit you need to make 15 trades in the order of $50,000 each.

Otherwise brokerage is only $20 and you will make use of $300 credit. (Which is good, but you still need to use it prior to October 31st.)

  • +1

If it costs more than $5/contract both ways you're getting ripped off. Go overseas. I'm with PFGBest

    • You serious?

I'm with belldirect & thought $15 a trade was reasonable

    • can you trade the asx with PFGBest?

    • the website so slow, how can u trade during trading time mate? and this company can't trade asx.

    • PFGBest is futures and options on US markets, not exactly comparable to comsec, for trading ASX shares is it? And yes comsec does exchange traded options and other derivatives on the Australian market.

    • I trade the mini Dow (YM) because of the high volume and smoother patterns. For me, I've found he SPI to be too choppy for time trading and too short for range trading. Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread into a trader discussion. @woodie9 is the man, check him out.

  • You'd think a financial institution would be more specific, and less misleading. It's virtually impossible/extremely unlikely that the value of the benefit would ever be $825.

They should just say "up to 15 free trades", which is what is really being offered, though they've got to be under a certain amount and within a certain time to achieve that.

As a minimum, it should say "Up to $825 in free brokerage." Saying that you get $825 itself is very misleading.

  • up to 15 free trades with all the fruit could be good, if you have someone else's money to risk.
