    Just rang my local HN. Apparently there's a queue of people already lining up, waiting for the sale to start. It's like an Apple launch day but for tight arses :)

      I reckon there's only a tiny percentage of people actually looking to use the device. the rest will either be flipping them onto ebay looking for a quick buck or gathering dust in a week once the novelty wears off.

    Harvey Norman Preston apparently has an email from Head office saying to ignore what is in the press/internet and they arent meant to be selling any.

    Pretty poor comunications considering that everywhere else seems to be selling them like crazy.

      Just spoke to Maribyrnong and they are sold out too.
      Asked them about what Preston said and they indicated that wasnt the case.
      Seems to me like Preston is on a different planet.

    I think the only reason to get it if you want a tablet to browse Internet or email with Wifi at home.

    Because of no apps what the point to get it? May be hope touchoid did something soon.

    Called up the Melbourne CBD store and they're already sold out.

    Incidentally, does anyone know what their video playback support is like (and streaming if possible)? Only thing I've seen is a mention of DivX/Xvid on spec sheets, but no actual reviews stating compatibility or anything.

    HN Belmont WA were selling before 12AM, got mine 11:40AM. They were out of 16gbs by the time I got there too. Plenty of 32gbs but they won't last.

      personally I would go for the 16 GB.

      Just in case the android mods do not work. $100 is a good balance between risk and reward.

    Garden City Brisbane were selling them before 2pm. My receipt has "1.54pm" on it. Sales dude was on the phone to someone (probably a fellow OzBargainer) and told him/her that they had 100 units. He told me as he was invoicing me that the Brisbane City store had 250 people outside waiting at some stage today.
