People would pay these prices for digital rights? And think it's a bargain?

    • Pay first, think later.

    • +4

Because some of us a) like to legally pay for the content we watch and b) don't buy discs as they take up too much room.

      • meh, these are often available more cheaply via other services. If you highly value the bells and whistles (Atmos, and 'perpetual' access), maybe it stacks up. Just finished Catch 22 on hulu.

Why not? You get 4K resolution, HDR and Dolby Atmos for a fraction of the cost of the disc, plus there’s no chance of your film ever being lost or scratched and you have instant access to it with a few clicks of your device. Really can’t see a disadvantage with digital. Some people just like hanging onto the past I guess.

      • I agree with you. I think the only risk is if Apple shuts down one day we lose our content. It's worth the trade off in convenience.

It's a big if with the major corporations though. And if the Ultraviolet situation is any example, they'll find a way to let you continue watching your content.

  • Similar prices on Google Play but they don't seem to be advertised.

    • Sopranos full season $90 on google play

  • Isn't that on Apple TV?

  • The Martian $5 too

  • Catch 22 is on Stan if you have that
