    Not a fan of these.
Bought 16 from GearBest 1.5 years ago, 12 have died since then…

Maybe I got a bad batch? I don't know how to tell, but that's a 75% failure rate in not even 2 years.

fyi this was the V2, not the V2 (1S), but the only difference seems to be 1.5W power consumption?

    • There was a hardware change with the bulbs inside as the V2 would show reds as pinks. Besides reduction in power consumption the rest is software.

    • I had heaps of yeelights and not one fault. Sounds like a bad batch or maybe something, you should be able to get warranty if they died that quick

I've bought 10 in 2 years and 4 died. out of the remaining 6, 3 of them can no longer connect (I still light up but does not connect to the server/app, so I cannot change colour or turn it on and off). Pretty high failure rate for me too tbh.

  • Was sold on these until I realised you had to connect them to the internet so you could use them on a LAN (Homebridge).

  • Hey OP, are you able to get any deals on the Yeelight Smart Light strips?

    • I've messaged GeekBuying to see what they can offer.

  • Any deal on the night light - MJYD02YL ?

    • I've asked GeekBuying to see what they can provide.
