Excellent price for a good everyday diver.

  • +1

Great price for prospex but the color is way too bright for me

    • +2

Not so bright when you snorkel down 100m or so.

  • +4

been this price often on star buy .
some might say it’s too bright, but i have an orient diver in orange and it looks great and omega do a planet ocean in orange and it also looks great.

Gorgeous watch. Great price. Gonna make a great birthday present for myself next week!

… beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

      • +1

lol, cant agree more ihbh. The orange colour just puts me off straightaway

        • Same. Now if it was an orange sports band, I wouldn't mind.

. For people who prefer the dress look. I found a ripper deal on eBay but it keeps saying last item despite me ordering one last night.

    • Note - the seller is Watchspree who is located in Singapore, so probably won't come from Victoria. Maybe it's a tax thing. Also, it is grey market, no AD. This means only 1 year seller warranty, not 3 years Seiko warranty.

      • Be really careful. I bought a Seiko off ebay years back and it turned out it was refurbished, badly. Not a Seiko seller either so no warranty.

        • Fair enough though, the watch shop has 100% positive feedback. Also all details indicate local store . So hopefully seiko honour the local warranty

          • @maverickjohn: Alternatively you could by it on starbuy for the full AD 3 year warranty, it's $70 more for that peace of mind though.

            • @whitty55: They are sold out though

              • @maverickjohn: Yeah sorry I was just about to edit my comment. I must have been looking at the bracelet version. Also how do I reply without automatically tagging you?

          • +3

            @maverickjohn: WatchSpree is from Singapore

Have you noticed when you do a search on eBay, that a lot of items are stated to be in Australia based on the location setting? It's obvious though, that many items are actually located in China/HK.

Again, WatchSpree is not an Authorised Dealer (AD). AD's offer 3 years local warranty. Two I think for international purchases from an AD. On the ebay page it says, "1 year seller warranty". This indicates it is a grey seller. Grey sellers are cheaper because you take a risk on the warranty.

I'm not saying it isn't a deal. But factor in the warranty. I wouldn't bank on Seiko AU fixing any issues.

During Chinese NY and 11/11, Watchspree has discount offers.

            • @ilikeit: Thanks for the information.
I based it if their eBay information stating they are shipping it from Melbourne and that they are in Australia.
Lesson for me. Thanks to everyone.

              • +1

@maverickjohn: No worries. I almost did the same. The problem is with Seiko divers, which I like, there are too many misalignments. So I have to factor is warranty. Less of an issue on your watch. You can always pay with PayPal too and use their return system if need be.

I always try to look at the delivery time too. The one you linked has slow delivery.

Thats a good price for a Presage.

      • +1

That’s why I jumped on it. I’ve got a few nice dress watches but I like the face colour of this one.

  • Very happy with mine, which I bought for $330 from Starbuy a few months ago, however they’re sold out now so this might be a good chance to purchase.

    • Same, happy with mine too

  • Ripper price on one of my favorite watches. The Orient version is also glorious

  • +2

Not made in Japan, unfortunately. These are made in Malaysia and have poor resale value.

    • +3

Really? I’ve seen second hand Samurais going for very close to original price. Why would you care about the resale value of a watch in this price range anyway? You buy it to enjoy wearing it.

      • +4

It was just a heads up for those who might not know about such things.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Bought and sold.
I hope it looks as gorgeous as it does in all the pics and reviews.
Been looking for a quality watch for a long time and this ticks all the boxes, and a great price.

  • +1

Its a no from me as I already have an orange face turtle in the collection, but good price and thanks for posting so have an upvote. It's nice to see the watch deals and community coming back to OzB.

Can anyone comment on how these wear compared to a turtle case?

    • +1

I have 2 turtles and have tried on many, many samurai in the shops.
For me the samurai wear a tad bigger and chunkier than turtles, have seen people stating the complete opposite though.

  • Good price. Paid $325 for my blue samurai last year and it's a purchase that I'm happy with. Damn heavy watches though - these look huge on people with smaller forearms/wrists.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Grabbed one.

  • +1

Have wanted this for ages and was still umming and ahhing, it dropped a bit further to $320.34 so I grabbed it. Cheers big ears.

  • +1

its dropped again to $316.92. With the long processing times, i'm very tempted to cancel my order just to reorder it at a lower price

    • Thanks, added to OP.
Despite posting this I didn't actually purchase, definitely getting more and more tempting though.

    • +2

It now says $312.96, if that tempts you further.

  • +1

It's now down to $298.45. Very tempting

  • $287.71 now

  • For significant price changes, please post a new deal. Thanks.
